I am a little upset that survivor isnt more like BB in that its pretaped and we cant see what goes on “uncensored” just watching that minute or so of Russel doing the things he was doing made me feel like I had to keep a closer eye on him. I thought it would be easier to pick a tribe to vote for. but in some ways its not. on BB I picked my people right away but here I Have mixed thoughts. I really think I like the purple tribe b/c they seemed to mesh quickly in my inexperienced (In survivor ways) eye. I know they will butt heads soon enough but with the exception of SHambo sitting out of the tribe swim and her thoughts of camp building they seemed to work well together. it didnt take them but a minute to figure out how to help each other up those ramps and come on they came back quickly at the end with the puzzle. the yellow tribe seem to be quick to stab each other in the back and I am NOT just talking about russel doing things like with the h2o and the burning socks.. look at how quickly the girls were willing to allign with him. they didnt even wait to see if he was WORTH teaming up with or maybe someone else would be better. that almost makes me agree with him that they ARE dumb.. but could be they just thought like the cop that it would be smarter to keep him close. but that didnt work well for marisa did it? (Remember I am new to survivor… was her move telling russel she was wary of him talking to everyone else as bad a move as I thought it was the moment she opened her mouth to speak?) I know that this seems like I dont want to root for yellow but I almost feel like they are the underdog & my mom said when I was a kid I ALWAYS rooted for the underdog.
Both teams have some pretty people on them. So I cant vote for the best looking guy and I dont feel like just watching episode 1 gave me enough insight (which was odd cuz in BB I picked my faves almost the minute they walked inside the house) I Know I can go read their profiles etc & learn more about them that way but we all know that anyone can describe themselves being one way and are completely the other for all we know their profiles are as accurate as Natalie was in saying she was 18.
Speaking of saying things about oneself.. I could almost have had some respect for russel’s gameplay until he actually burned someone’s socks (not only does he not realize that hurting a tribemate will in the long run hurt himself but he just doesnt CARE he hurt others) but it really bothered me that he decided to play on people’s sympathy by claiming to lose his dog of 9 yrs in Katrina. How sick does someone have to be to use other’s misfortunes as their own? I Bet his profile didnt claim the truth about himself. Makes me wonder how true his claim of being a multi-millionaire really is?

(BTW I dont know how to emphasize words in other colors etc like you all do. this is only the second site I have been on in YRS (BB being the other one) so I tend to use capital letters the way I was taught years ago in writing.. as if I was using italics.. basically for emphasis. I do not intend them to seem like I am yelling. sorry if I’m not supposed to use them as such. if anyone has any tips for me I appreciate it. (as I typed that word I Heard Jeff in my head saying “apprec” LOL)

I miss BB already how sad am I?

Oh… whats the general ages on this site.. why do I Get the feeling I am the old lady here? I am 41 with 2 kids (21 aand 23) and a 2yr old grandaughter (all living here at home. sigh could be another reason my posts are so long.. someone ELSE to talk to LOL ) BTW My grandbaby is in a big girl bed for the first time.

Another question … is there a place I can go to learn the etiquite for this site? I dont want to use abbreviations/emoticon or txtspk if not appreciated. its been so long since I have used anything but my blackberry for online/email and txting that I have to relearn the internet etiquite.. bear with me plz.

I don’t get BBAD nor do I get the Live Feeds, so I don’t feel that I’m missing anything by not seeing being the scenes action on Survivor.

I LOVE Survivor! Bring it on! Less than three hours away, all!

@Susan! YAY!! You made it! Come on with us, this will be like riding the tilt-o-whirl compared to the roller coaster that was BB. I won’t say the merry go round-because it is more exciting than that. On Survivor (like the tilt-w-whirl), you get little thrills here and there, and sometimes you get a little sick at your tummy. but not enough to throw up or become exhilarated, like on the roller coaster that was BB.
