NY Post article on Survivor 20
Here is an excerpt from Debbie Little’s article from the NY Post on the upcoming season of Survivor, Heroes vs. Villains:
Survivors pick their ‘Survivor’ all-stars
1:19 PM, December 31, 2009 ι DEBBIE LITTLE
“Survivor” will mark its 20th season with something special as it once again unites former players, this time as “Heroes vs. Villains.”
Before CBS announces the lineup next week, we asked former Survivors whether they see themselves as a hero or villain, who other than themselves they’d like to see play this time around and is it easier to win as a hero or villain.
There’s no question that fan-favorite Rupert Boneham (“Survivor: Pearl Islands”) is a hero both on and off the show, so it’s no surprise that he has a few favorites that are also heroes.
“Rudy Boesch (‘Survivor: Borneo’), toughest old man I’ve ever met in my life, Big Tom (‘Survivor: Africa’) – the Goat Man – maybe this time he would believe me instead of Boston Rob and Tina Wesson (Winner – ‘Survivor: The Australian Outback’). You have to have the hot girl,” said Boneham.
Boesch castmate and original sole Survivor Richard Hatch is a popular villain choice.
“I know I’m asking for a lot, but I’d love to see Richard Hatch back on Survivor,” said Rob Cesternino (“Survivor: Amazon”). “If it were up to me, I think you put Richard Hatch out there every season. I think you make him like the “free space” on the Bingo card, he’s just a given. Some years they vote him off first, some years they keep him around. How could that not be intriguing every time?” he said.

Now that you’ve read what our experts think, it’s your turn to weigh in. Who would you like to see on Heroes vs. Villains and who do you think has a better chance to win?

January 2nd, 2010 at 5:05 pm[...] Ryan Haidet wrote an interesting post today  Here’s a quick excerpt  This is not often the case but perception is reality in Survivor. The heroes have an advantage because people tend to trust them and in Survivor trust and ruthlessness are the two cornerstone pieces of the game,” said Coach. … [...]

Happy Sunday everyone. Are you ready for some football?
January 3rd, 2010 at 11:25 am
Thanks Ashley and happy New Year folks!!! Looking forward to the show!
January 3rd, 2010 at 11:43 am
Thanks Ashley! Great article!
I liked Bob Crowley’s assesment towards the end of the piece that in the first part of the game you can vote off a dumbass blond but towards the end of the game when it comes down to putting people on the jury you better vote off a “golden haired beauty”.
The social game is the key to getting jury votes.

Thanks guys! I liked Coach’s assessment of himself as a hero.

Whoa, I wish I was in Florida. It is 22 degrees here today. Too cold for me. Barney will not let me out of his sight. When I went in to take a shower, and closed the door, he sat outside and kept on crying. Guess I will have to keep all the doors open for awhile. Can’t wait for Survivor All Stars to begin. Why in the heck does the NFL let players play in the kind of snow blizzard which was in Buffalo? You couldn’t even see the players in the whiteout. That’s not fair to either side. I didn’t see the game, but I saw a clip on the news, and no wonder the Colts didn’t let any of their key players play. Hope that everybody had a Happy New Year, and I hope it is a good one for everybody.

I’m not sure what i am looking more forward to — Batchelor tonight or Biggest Loser tomorrow — HEAVEN!!!

Snow and rain games are great to watch summer. That’s one of the great things about football. I was at a raider game a few years ago in a downpour and players would slide about 15 yards after being tackled. It was awesome to watch. Both teams have to play in it so it is fair. I can’t stand indoor stadiums. If they have to sit in the rain on Survivor for a few days then football players can handle playing in the snow for a few hours.

Early favs on the bachelor is ali and tenley. They seem sweet.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
I also like elizabeth, the nanny. My hubby said they didn’t have nanny’s like her when he was a kid.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:22 pm
OK Michelle is pretty but she seems unstable . She is getting too emotional too fast.noooo jake she is not sweet she is a mental case.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Ashley I like the girl in the yellow dress. She seems nice
January 4th, 2010 at 9:35 pm
I have to root for Kathryn…the one with the wedding ring on. Shes from Kentucky about an hour away from me. I think she made a good impression but how can you be looking for a husband while wearing a wedding ring.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:35 pm
Blackgirl, the girl in the yellow dress is ali.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:42 pm
Ok if he likes Michelle then I’m disappointed. Surely he won’t give her a rose.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
Ashley I know, he needs to get rid of Michelle now.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:50 pm
Nooooooooooo
January 4th, 2010 at 9:54 pm
Jake is officially an idiot. Why would he pick michelle and not the pilot girl? He should have listened to Ed.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:57 pm
I guess Michelle is there to create drama. Why would Jake her.
January 4th, 2010 at 9:59 pm
I meant..why would Jake keep her.
January 4th, 2010 at 10:08 pm
It looks like it is going to be a drama filled season by the previews.
January 5th, 2010 at 8:31 am
Great episode of the bachelor last night. Jake is truly one of the good guys and I think some of the women (Michelle) will be too much for him to handle.
Anyhoo it’s my birthday and it sucks to be working today. Have a great one peeps.
January 5th, 2010 at 9:07 am
Hey Blackgirl! Happy Bday to you, Happy bday to you, Happy bday dear donna, happy bday to you! You shouldn’t have to work today cause it is YOUR day. Have a great one!!
January 5th, 2010 at 9:28 am
The S20 H v V on Facebook posted that the cast has been revealed!! I didn’t have a chance to look as I already knew (thanks Ashley) and will check it out later
January 5th, 2010 at 10:20 am
Hey, Blackgirl. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. We are both January babies, my birthday is on the 27th. Scokie 68, I know what you’re saying about playing in bad weather, but THEY WOULD HAVE TO PAY ME TO SIT IN THE WRETCHED WEATHER. I love indoor stadiums – I am a comfort person. Went camping one time, and now my idea of roughing it is staying in a 2 star hotel.
January 5th, 2010 at 10:35 am
Thanks Ashley and Summer. Summer you share the same birthday with Jake the bachelor.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:38 am
Happy birthday Donna! My picks for the Bachelor are Ali and Elizabeth (the dark headed one with the pretty eyes- you know me and my fondness towards brunettes)
Michelle is really pretty but I think she is a bit too dramatic. Ali is the best pick but I worry about her fear of flying with Jake being a pilot.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:50 am
I am cooking Long Horn Steaks for Thursday night and am not sure of the best way to cook them. Should I roast them over an open flame or cook them for several hours until they aren’t tough any more. My recipe calls for pounding them by elephants until you see blood. You’ll know they are done when gatorade is dumped on the elephant keepers head.
January 5th, 2010 at 11:52 am
***Spoiler Alert for The Bachelor***
So, I hear the final four speculation is Ali, Tenley, Gia and a mystery person, some say Ashleigh but I don’t know. Also, according to Chris, next week one of the ladies has an affair with one of the producers and begins a sexual relationship behind Jeff’s back. Chris tells Jeff and the girl is kicked off and the producer is fired. Should make for some great drama!
January 5th, 2010 at 11:53 am
Jeff #36, love it!
January 5th, 2010 at 11:56 am
Hey Texas…Ozzy Osborne called…couldn’t understand a single word he said…put Sharon on the phone and she said Ozzy wants his hand signal back.
January 5th, 2010 at 12:02 pm
Summer- You were born in January! No wonder they named you Summer.
January 5th, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Just found out the girl in the scandal is Rozlyn and it may all be just a big fabricated storyline done by Fleiss, the creator of the show. I will know more tomorrow if any of you are interested.
January 5th, 2010 at 12:46 pm
Thanks Jeff, the only thing I know about steaks is how to eat them.
Ashley, thanks for the spoilers. I kinda like Roslyn from the little i saw of her. She is very pretty and quite. I know i dont like the one girl who has a son.. her lips look fake.
January 5th, 2010 at 1:18 pm
I think rozlyn is very pretty and if abc does portray her in a way that is not true then I will feel sorry for her. Also not a big fan of Jake anymore. What a wuss!
January 5th, 2010 at 3:47 pm
I started watching the batchelor and fell asleep!!! I was soooo mad at myself — apparently my wife kept poking me to get up and says i was like a bear hibernating and rolled over LOL Will watch it when i get home today

Blago on Celebrity apprentice. Love it!
January 5th, 2010 at 7:24 pm
definitely some interesting characters on the celebrity apprentice this season. I wish they would go back to the regular apprentice.
January 5th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
Yeah I don’t like celebrity apprentice. The last one with Rodman and Joan Rivers was a waste of my time
January 6th, 2010 at 10:48 am
Jeff, what kind of steaks are you using? i.e., chuck, rib eye, etc. Jake and I share the same birthday? Well, Blackgirl, I would like to share something with him cause he is a good looking guy, but, he is really not my type. Don’t care for his personality. Jeff, ya, my mom had a sense of humor when she named me. A good way to prepare tough steaks, is to pound them with a mallet until they are quite thin, and then watch how long you cook them, cause they don’t take very long. A really good marinade for steaks is Worchester Sauce and Teriyaki in equal amounts, then put them in the refrigerator overnight. Hmmmmmm good!!!
