Survivor 2013 Caramoan: Jeff Probst Swears Julia Really Existed

Survivor 2013 Caramoan fans have jokingly wondered if Julia was even a part of the game this season. And since she went home last week during Tribal Council, some of us are left asking why someone a little more vocal and someone who played the game a little better didn’t go. But that’s neither here nor there.
Show host Jeff Probst told Entertainment Weekly this past week that Julia did exist and that she just fell victim to being over-shadowed by much more out-there players.
Well, in fairness to Julia I think part of the reason you didn’t hear much from her is because she was playing in the shadow of Phillip, Brandon, Shamar, Cochran and others. Julia is a young person and young people often suffer on our show due to limited life experience, but Julia had life experience so we took a chance. I’m not surprised she was quiet, she was on the quiet side in casting but we really found her endearing. Sometimes those qualities just don’t make it into the game. Now to the topic of Vanilla. Vanilla Ice was clever for a moment. Vanilla Sky is underrated. Vanilla Frosting isn’t worth the calories. Milli Vanilli is almost the same as Milli Vanilla. Finally, Vanilla spelled backwards is Allinav.
Survivor 2013 Caramoan: Julia The Day After Elimination

Someone went home on Survivor 2013 Caramoan this week. Hold let me check my notes and I’ll tell you who. Julia? Someone named Julia? Does that ring a bell?
I’m kidding. But seriously Julia, whom I feel like we barely got to know, was sent packing Wednesday night during Tribal Council and the day after, she sat down for her little exit interview.
And like most people, Julia says Survivor changed her for the better.
“I think this game really made me grow up a lot,” Julia said. “I was forced to grow up and not trust people as much. I went from a somewhat green college student to more of an adult.”
She also lets us know that at home she’s pretty compulsive and uptight but may have softened a bit on the island.
“I won’t be picky for food and I might be a little more relaxed when I get home,” she said.
Find out what else Julia had to say about her Survivor 2013 experience in her exit interview below.
Survivor 2013 Caramoan Episode 7 Recap: Phillip Annoys Everyone Some More

This week on Survivor 2013 Caramoan Phillip continued to annoy everyone, including Jeff Probst, yet he still managed to not be voted off. But more on that later.
The tribe is mourning Matt. Like a lot. Um, then why did you send him home? Yeah, yeah, they had to send someone home. And for some reason it wasn’t Phillip. Which is basically what Corinne is wondering. Why not get rid of Phillip?
And meanwhile, Phillip wants rid of Corinne. And he tells Cochran he wants it done before the merge.
And then we jump to the next day. The Bikal Tribe gets some tree mail. And it’s about being strong in the next challenge. So Phillip says he’s got that covered and everyone is annoyed. Which is the norm now with Phillip. He’s hammering those nails into his coffin furiously.
So it’s time to head off to the Reward Challenge. The Tribes meet up with Jeff and get a look at the new Bikal Tribe without Matt. It’s a team challenge. They’ll be chained together and will be carrying 20-pound sandbags and must race in a circle and the first tribe to reach the other tribe wins.
And they’re playing for a Survivor-style coffee bar. Cookies, brownies, coffee.
Survivor 2013 Caramoan: Episode 7 Results

Tonight on Survivor Caramoan we’re about to find out if the new Gota tribe with all its brawn and power can become the dominant force it threatens to be after last week’s tribe shuffle.
At the first competition it’s a luxury up for grab with cookies and tasty treats as today’s bait. The castaways were teased the strong would carry the weak in this competition, which leaves Bikal hopeful as they specialize in the latter, according to Cochran.
This battle looks tough. The entire tribe is roped together and each start at opposite corners of the track with the task of catching the other team ahead (or behind) them. Bikal basically has no hope as Gota gains on them at every turn of the course, but don’t worry because Phillip is here. Phillip will fix everything and win every competition. Yeah.
Gota easily catches up to Bikal and secures their trip to a ‘desserted island.’ See what I did there?
Immunity is back up for grabs! Tonight’s immunity challenge is called “Phoenix Rises” and is just what we saw earlier in the spoilers preview.
Gota takes the lead in the race out to the submerged statue site but quickly loses the lead at the last minute. Both tribes struggle side by side to release their phoenix and get it back in the boat. Gota has a small lead heading back to the beach as the other half of the tribes prepare to hook the five rings across the beach.
