Survivor 2012 One World Episode 10 Recap: Troyzan vs. Everyone

Survivor 2012 episode 10

Last night’s episode of Survivor One World was the start of a war. The game is now Troyzan vs. Everyone. And “Everyone” thought and hoped it would be a short-lived war, but Troyzan was out to prove otherwise.

At the start of the show, we get the aftermath of Jay’s elimination, which was really just the result of Troy having the Survivor 2012 immunity idol. So he realizes he was the target and he’s letting everyone know how he feels. He focuses in on Christina who is used to abuse by now. And what happens next is actually pretty hilarious. Alicia comes to Christina’s defense. REALLY? After all the nasty things she and Colton had said and done to her? To think that wildebeest  is defending poor little Christina just makes me laugh.

The tribe finds some tree mail and this time, there’s something for everyone. They all get an envelope with their names on it and $500 inside. Did the price of coconuts just go up? No, they’re about to attend a Survivor auction!

At the auction, Jeff tells them they can bid on $20 increments and that they better get what they want because the game can end at any time. The biding begins.

Jeff first reveals some cupcakes and iced coffee. Chelsea wins the bid with $160. Next is chips and salsa and a margarita. Sabrina buys that for $400. Dumb. But even dumber is that Leif pays $100 for a protein shake. Gag. Up next is a shower with shampoo and toothpaste. Kim takes that one for $40. Cat gets a BLT, chips and iced tea for $150.

Kim spends $240 on peanut butter and chocolate. And the next items up for bid are letters to home. Alicia sets the price for those at $500.  So anyone else who still has money can purchase theirs as well for $500. Tarzan is one of only three with that much money left so he buys his letters as well.

The next item was what Troy’s been waiting for. It’s an advantage in the next immunity challenge. Troy bids more than anyone else has… wait Christina still has money. So the others pretty much force her into a bidding war with Troy. You can tell she didn’t really want to or care, but she did what they said. As usual. Troy still wins the bid at $420.

The last item up for bid is a mystery. Cat thinks it’s something awesome, so she spends her last $160. It’s just a cake. That she has to share with the others. So we get to see them gather around and devour a cake with their hands. Delish.

Troy opens up his envelope to learn what his advantage will be. He gets to advance to the second round of the immunity challenge, giving him a 1 on 4 chance at winning immunity. But that’s not enough for him. He spends the rest of the day looking for another immunity idol on the island. He doesn’t turn up anything, but he does give the others a nice dose of paranoia.

At the immunity challenge, Troy sits out round one and waits for round 2 to start. The others who make it through round 1 were Tarzan, Christina and Kim. Looks like Troy’s chances improved vastly with those three joining him in round 2. Troy makes it to round 3 (and celebrates obnoxiously — but so would I). Joining him in the third round wasn’t Kim, as everyone suspected, but Tarzan.

Troy wins immunity, but just barely. So, good job, Tarzan!

The rest of the episode we get Troy trying to talk some sense into Christina, Alicia, Leif and Tarzan. He wants them to vote with him to send Kim home, meaning they’d be a team of five while Sabrina, Chelsea and Cat would be without Kim and they could finish the game up by taking them out one by one.

Makes perfect sense to me and about anyone else who watched, right? Wrong. Not only can he not get the two girls to go along with it, he can’t even get Tarzan to make sense of it! Tarzan writes Leif’s name down at tribal council as do most of the others. Leif’s torch is snuffed.

I hope Troy is around long enough to tell Alicia and Christina some “told you sos” when the only true alliance votes them off.
