Tonight on Survivor 2012 Philippines it’s time for Penner’s revenge. Last week his alliance turned on him but he wisely saved himself with an immunity idol. Now we’ll get to find out if he can turn the tide and put the target elsewhere. Let’s see.
The first challenge tonight is a luxury reward. The castaways are split in to two teams and must retrieve containers from the water and then assemble the pieces inside to win. First team to finish gets a barbecue picnic. Mmm.
The blue team (Mike, Pete, Artis, Carter, and Abi) are the first back to work on the puzzle but the yellow team quickly catches up and passes them by. The yellow team wins this week’s luxury reward and heads off for some good food.
Now it’s time for the immunity challenge. Castaways must race across a playing field and untie puzzle bags as they go. The first three to reach the finish line move on to the second round where they must complete a snake puzzle.
Pete was the first to cross the finish line with Jeff not far behind. Penner just barely outreaches Mike but that’s good enough for Penner to move on to the next round and face off against Pete and Jeff for the immunity.
Just when things look doomed for Penner, the top target for the week, he makes an amazing recovery and barely beats out Jeff by just a piece or two in the puzzle. Penner wins immunity for the first time ever in his time on Survivor.
There is chaos ahead of tribal council and it gets even better during council. Hidden idols are no longer hidden as all are revealed and big deals start getting tossed around. Jeff says this is the most entertaining council he’s seen as the castaways prepare to vote. You can catch all those details later in Branden’s recap.
Before Jeff reveals the votes he offers a chance for the idols to be used. No one makes a move. The votes are intense and it comes down to Jeff and Pete with four votes each. The final vote is revealed and Jeff is voted off Survivor tonight.Subscribe for Free to Survivor updates on Facebook, by RSS, Email, or Twitter
