Tonight on Survivor 2012 Philippines we get to enjoy the fallout from last week’s exciting tribal council. Can Lisa recover from the chaos she caused and will Penner keep his survival streak alive? Time to find out.
The reward challenge is just like what we saw earlier in the sneak peek. The castaways are split in to two tribes. Yellow team: Mike, Artis, Lisa, and Pete. Red team: Carter, Malcolm, Denise, and Penner. Abi was not picked so she sits out and has no chance at a reward. The players have to traverse a course, uncover bags of balls, and then throw them in a basket.
Yellow takes a quick lead but only because Penner (Red) stays in the mud pit to uncover all four bags at once. It was a brilliant move. Red team quickly catches up after Penner’s delay and passes by the Yellow team. The Red team has ten out of twelve balls in the basket before Yellow even gets to the basket part of the game. Yellow makes a valiant effort to catch up and gets halfway before Red wins.
The reward to the Red team is a trip in to the local town where they’ll deliver gifts for the children and receive a big meal in return.
Immunity is up for grabs. The challenge has all players lined up at a station and they must balance six balls on a paddle with a stretched handle. This looks impossible. Mike gets two while Pete has one and the rest have none. If you drop any off you have to keep working or start over if you knock them off. Pete is starting to find his method when he loses two of the four. Meanwhile Mike crushes it and lands one after another before grabbing the win and immunity.
Tribal council is another fun one but not quite as crazy as last week. Tandang is hoping to hold on to their numbers advantage and send Penner packing, but Abi manages to say some dumb things about not trusting Lisa just before it’s time for the voting. Will it be enough to sway an already uncertain Lisa? As Jeff reveals the votes it’s going to come down to Artis or Penner going home. They each get four votes before Jeff reveals the final and deciding vote. Artis is voted off Survivor tonight. Penner survives again.Subscribe for Free to Survivor updates on Facebook, by RSS, Email, or Twitter
