Tonight on Survivor 2013 we’re about to get the Caramoan season started with the premiere episode of the new ‘Fans vs. Favorites.’ It’ll be a long 90-minute episode launching the pursuit of the next Sole Survivor. Will it be a returning, albeit questionable “favorite,” or a brand new “fan” castaway? Time to find out which side can make the first cut.

It doesn’t take long to hit the first challenge of the night. Minutes after arriving on the beach and getting their first look at their competition host Jeff Probst puts them to task. It’s a one-on-one challenge, well it’s one woman and one man from each team at a time, where the castaways have to retrieve a buoy and be the first to bring it back.
Round 1 goes to the Fans, but the Favorites make it up quick in round 2 as it turns in to a dogpile to the end. During round 3 Shamar gets noticed by Jeff when he yells for his teammate to “break her wrist” though he tries to back pedal and claim he meant “break her hold.” Favs get round 3 and round 4.
Round 5 could end the challenge and give Favs the reward of fire if they can keep their streak alive. In perhaps the most brutal and bottom baring round the Favs take it. The Fans are starting out the Caramoan season in the cold.

It’s time for the next challenge and this is the big one: immunity. The Survivor immunity challenge this episode is “A Long Way to the Top” and it’s just like the spoilers we revealed earlier today.
Through the second round things remain pretty close between the two tribes while Gota, the Fans, have a very slight lead as they head to the third level and start tossing crates. This could come down to who tosses the bags better. Or maybe not. Bikal, the Favorites, get way ahead on the fourth round and give Malcolm and Dawn a lot of leeway going in to the sandbag toss.
That lead slips away from Malcolm and suddenly both teams need one more bag to secure Immunity. Well look at that, the Fans pull out a win after their earlier loss and this win really makes a difference. The newbies will be sleeping easy tonight on Survivor Caramoan, but a Favorite is about to be voted off at Tribal Council.
Someone is about to be the first person voted out of Survivor Fans Vs. Favorites. It is time to vote!
