Survivor Recap: Cagayan Episode 05 ‘We Found Our Zombies’

Tony and Jefra on Survivor 2014

Tonight on Survivor 2014 Cagayan the emotions run high when Lindsey and Trish battle it out over Cliff’s blindside elimination last week. They’ll need to pull it together quickly though because they are still on the same tribe and they’ll need to focus on beating Aparri to avoid another elimination tonight.

The show kicks off with Solana returning to their camp where a war of words breaks out between the ladies. Things get so bad that Jeff pays a late night visit to their camp and talks with Lindsey about the situation.

Lindsey tells Jeff that she’d sooner walk away from the game than let her attitude get worked up over Trish. Jeff asks her if she’s going to quit. Lindsey says she doesn’t know what else to say. Jeff pushes her to stay in the game. Nope, it ain’t going to work.

Lindsey says she doesn’t even want to go back to camp to tell them. She steps out of the game and doesn’t even go back to her tribe. Lindsey has quit Survivor Cagayan. That drives me nuts!

Reward Challenge – Idol Hands:

Wow! The reward is for the winning tribe to “raid” the loser’s tribe to take their best stuff and wreck their camp. Ouch ouch ouch.

Spencer Vs Woo – Spencer tosses his up in the air and knocks down Woo’s. Awesome. Spencer gets the point for Aparri.

Tasha Vs Trish – Solana gets the point after Tasha gets too aggressive.

Sarah Vs Jefra – Aparri gets the point when Jefra drops her own idol.

LJ Vs Jeremiah – Jeremiah tries to save his idol as he bobbles it around but can’t. Solana gets the point.

Tony Vs Morgan – Tony charges her and Morgan’s idol drops first. Solana gets the point.

Spencer Vs Woo – Big standoff here with it all hanging in the balance. Woo gets the point & win for Solana.

Woo & Tony follow Aparri back to their tribe to raid their camp to take it back to Solana’s camp. They can take two of three things: comfort items, tarp & rope, or fishing kit. There’s also a Hidden Immunity Idol and they decide to tank Jeremiah by pretending the clue is for him. Solana takes the comfort item and fishing kit while leaving the tarp for Aparri.

Back at the Aparri tribe Jeremiah tries to explain away Tony & Woo’s trick with the Immunity clue, but it’s not working. Jeremiah is so screwed, but he does make a good point: “we lost” so why would they get a clue as a reward? Good point, but they still don’t believe him.

Immunity Challenge:

Wasting no time we get right to today’s Immunity Challenge. Castaways must navigate a huge obstacle course where they’ll release puzzle pieces to build the key to a combination lock & win the race. Aparri sits out Morgan & Tasha.

Aparri takes an early lead but Solana catches right back up as they navigate the maze portion. It’s neck and neck as the tribes begin to unwind the rope puzzle. Jeremiah finishes it first, but Tony is just behind him.

Lots of confusion as the tribes work to build their puzzle that reveals the combination. Solana is about to get it as Aparri falls behind… Yep! Solana wins Immunity!

Back at the Aparri tribe they’re trying to decide whether to believe Alexis and go after Jeremiah or go in a totally different direction. Kass points out Brains are in charge here tonight.

Jeff reveals the votes and Alexis’s eyes go huuuugggee! She is sobbing as she walks off. Alexis was voted off Survivor tonight 4-1 over Jeremiah.

Next week the Tribe Merge arrives! And Sarah finds herself right back in the middle of it all.

Keep refreshing this post here as we continue to update throughout tonight’s Survivor show.
