Survivor Samoa Episode 10: Early Challenge Information & Rumors
CBS Press Release: “Tempers flare and an alliance threatens to splinter apart at the most dramatic Tribal Council yet.” The Day of Reckoning: A clever castaway jeopardizes the success of a scheme to ensure their own safety in the game. So in episode 9 of Survivor Samoa we had the most memorable tribal council and this week we have the most dramatic. It just keeps getting better and better…
We know for a fact from Jeff Probst in the last tribal council that there is now a third hidden immunity idol in play. We all saw everyone scrounging around looking for it and following Russell’s every move. Can he beat the odds and find it again?? That is the big question on the minds of all Survivor fans! I would be surprised if he manages to uncover it with Galu on his heels but with Russ you never can tell. We know from past spoilers that he is probably going to be in the final 3 so he has to keep saving himself somehow.
The immunity challenge this week shows all ten contestants lined up and throwing something to try and break what looks like ceramic tiles and whomever breaks 3 moves on to the next round. They do have to break their own tiles and not that of their competitors so they need good aim. The second round entails shooting a crossbow at an archery board. From the pictures we know Brett advances to this round but it is not clear who joins him. I’m not even going to speculate right now on who wins the challenge.
Tribal council is going to be real interesting this week. First we have a possible tie with the 4 Foas and Shambo, making it 5-5. Russell will need to bring over 1 more member of the Galu tribe in order to save himself if he doesn’t have the idol or win the IC. In the promos, he is shown laying in the hammock smiling and saying he doesn’t need the idol this week so you have to assume he either wins immunity and makes another alliance. We are looking for the showdown between him and Laura so perhaps this is the week she goes. I would think in order to keep Shambo on their side the Foa’s will have to vote out Laura, that is unless she wins the IC yet again! Surely not 3 in a row. If she does then we have to face the possibility that either Monica or John will be leaving this episode.

OR, There is a 5-5 tie vote at TC and Russell is saved by a tie breaker.
OR, John flips to Foosball and that gives Foosball Mick, Jaison, Natalie, Russell, Shambo-ego and John 6 votes to 4 Galut votes.

I am a true convert. Russell has amazed me and frustrated me and made be want to gag, but dang it, he is a gamer!! I wouldn’t put it past him to find yet another idol.

I have become a Russ fan after all this time and now want the Fab Four to make it to the final four and then go from there!
Getting back to the Heroes vs. Villans.. I haven’t seen anything official from CBS about it — everything I have seen are from spoiler sites or YouTube videos made by private parties…
If it does come to pass, they really need to be careful about casting people who have been on their shows and on all-star seasons… When I excitedly told my wife that they are planning this with Boston Rob, Rupert and John “Fairplay” Dalton, etc and she made a face and said AGAIN!?!
After that reaction, it made rethink my feelings about seeing some of the people interact with one another just like they recently did during Fans vs. Favorites, etc.

Scotty “K”… It makes perfect sense because these are the most popular castaways who producers know people want to see as the castaways entertain with the best strategies, lies, athleticism, scheme, drama and have to figure out how to outwit, outlast, outplay the best survivors there are… This is a way better version than the 1st BB All Stars and a possible BB All Stars 2

Jeanne,I_Am_Baaaack- Just assuming a 5-5 tie at tribal council, Russell must not be in the tie, because he has the votes against him from last week. The only other votes to evict are 1 against Monica by Shambo when Yasmine was evicted and 2 against Jaison from last week.
I guess I am trying to ask the question: How have ties in the past been handled and do the votes cast against Russell still count since he played the Idol?
I would predict that he wins the immunity competition since he says he is safe. We have seen how paranoid he is when he feels threatened so he wouldn’t say he was safe unless he had immunity.
AR- I will try it again. I predict team Zebra, Brian and Erica will leave the race

Hey ive got 2 hrs til my heels play a lil roundball. Whoopwhoop. We took miami down yesterday so im hoping valiprosa will fall too. I do wish that survivor would do a show that if youve already won or been in another repeat proformance you were done unless is like bb to host. Bring back some of my favs who deserve a 2nd chance too. Ive seen fairplay, hatch, rob, amber, pavarti. Bring back some of the others who were good also but were a threat so they left early. And sue keep her home too. Bring back the dude who got burned bring back people who got cut and had to leave due to infection….ya know? I liked them just as much

#5 Jeff – Ties have been handled in a couple of different ways, if memory serves me right. There has been the fire making tie breaker – first to make fire that burns through a string wins and I think I have read about, but don’t remember, the purple rock tie breaker – pick the rock from the bag. As for votes against Russell. Each tribal begins fresh. No prior votes from any prior councils are considered. So Russell goes into this tribal just like everyone else – with zero votes until they start voting. Having or playing the idol does not penalize a player.
As for AR – boy, do I hope your prediction is correct. I for one am about sick of listening to Princess Erica!

Johny Fairplay isn’t on the list. I don’t think the producers would give him another chance since he bowed out first week on Fans vs. Favorites. They could have cast a lot of different people that season which would have contributed to the game unlike Fairplay who they flew half way around the world to quit during the first episode.

Jeff… They haven’t used votes from earlier TC since the begining of Survivor… The most recent tiebreakers have included the fire starting and before that during Survivor Marquesas they used the purple rocks for the final 4 with Vecepia (who would win it all) safe with the idol… That is when the guy who didn’t get a vote ended up getting screwed because he refused to change his vote and then chose the wrong vote…
Jeff… I know Johnny Fair Play isn’t on… I mentioned him as a Survivor that can lie with the best BB players… Read the debate from the other posting about Survivor greats vs BB greats and who would win in a RW v RR type of challenge between Survivor and BB ok?

Jeff… Although Johnny Fairplay had a good excuse for why he wanted to leave, I think he knew his BS wouldn’t work, so he decided to make himself look better by saying heanted to be there for his kids birth instead of being voted out early to save face… He is a great liar…

Wait.. what would be interesting would be Boston Rob on the Villans team with his beautiful wife Amber on the Heroes team!!
I met him a few times out here in Vegas at Red rock and some of the other locals poker-joints here.. I think he’s since moved back to FL.. haven’t seen him in a while, although my wife saw him and Amber in the airport a few months ago when she was on a business trip.
I LOVED them on both Amazing Race seasons they were on!!

Scotty “K”… Amber is just a big a villian as Boston Rob based on Survivor All Stars and both Amazing Race appearances (especially the 2nd)… No one would go for letting the married couple who has been on 2 Survivors each, 2 Amazing Race seasons and had a 2 hour wedding special get to the jury together let alone the final 2… It would be a nice story because I like them both, but I like James Clement, Evil Russ, Tom Westman and Rupert more than Amber which would pit them against Boston Rob all because of Amber… I am glad Amber isn’t on for that selfish reason… L-O-L!!! Blackgirl… There are 2 Russ’ from this season… Good Russ went home via medivac and Evil Russ because he is the biggest villian in Survivor history based on his attitude of “I will have you voted out if you cross me or question my authority” and his ability to convince people to go with his evil plots to vote people out for his personal reasons
Evil Russ will always be his name like Boston Ron and James “the grave digger” as well as Johnny Fairplay…
Like it or not when you have even the Survivor producers deeming you the biggest villian in Survivor history, you will be know and rightfully so as Evil Russ who just happens to be able to use wit to help him get to the final and Survive this game day to day while building a strong alliance…
Evil Russ is the man, and he has earned the title and is one of the best Survivor players of all time…
P.S. BB Fans he is one of many Survivor greats that will kick any BB Greats a** mentally, emotionally, Ntellectually and physically!!!

Boston Rob was a total asshole on Amazing Race! There is no one I have disliked more on the race than he and Amber, and that includes Jonathan and Victoria.
I didn’t like Russell’s antics in the beginning, but I have gained respect for him now. He is an intelligent, crafty player and he really does deserve to win, thus far.

Cooper / Blackgirl… Just because you like Evil Russ now and he isn’t as blatant with his evil ways doesn’t make him any less of a villian… Begining with sabatoging his own tribemates water supply and burning Jaison’s socks to weaken his own tribe… He came in planning on being the biggest villian and according to Survivor execs had succeeded… He is wealthy and is playing for the game and not the money… He said it himself which is why he can be so arrogant and wreckless as in showing everyone in Galu his first idol… He is the man but that man has the perfect namw – Evil Russ…
For Boston Ron / Amber haters… Get over it… They have had more success than any other reality member based on being brought back multiple times on both Survivor and the Amazing Race and for getting a wedding special on a seperate network (ABC)… Obviosly the tv producers and fans like seeing them enough to make them so popular…
One more thing about Evil Russ… Katrina and his dog was after his dumb blonde alliance and that came after he chose Marissa to be a leader and voted her and anyone else out who questioned him… Get them to trust you and dispose of them when they don’t know there place… Now that is gangsta / evil… My man Evil Russ is the definition of a villian… I like James Clement and Boston Rob, but I would love a Villian like Evil Russ to win it all and put pie in the morally correct audience who forget that this isn’t a moral contest… L-O-L!!!

I_am_back: I “am over it” … whatever “it” is … that doesn’t mean I dislike Boston Rob any less. He can have a million fans. I’m not one of them.
Whether or not you need the money has never been a criteria for either Survivor or Amazing Race. There have been doctors, lawyers, successful business owners, a spouse of a very wealthy football player etc. None of them “needed” the money. They are there for the love of the game. There are always evil villains, and some of them we grow to “love”. In Russell’s case, I can’t help but admire his ability to strategize.
Ashley, I’d like to see whiny Ericka leave, too. I like all the remaining teams, but I’d like to see the father/son team win.

Russell has done some amazing things in the game and I applaud him and give him his due credit. He has also made some stupid moves like showing everyone his immunity idols. That is not good game play and if they had hidden his second idol a little better he would be gone. I would be more comfortable calling him one of the luckiest people to ever play the game than one of the best.
During that last immunity challenge when he hooked his third bag he had to pause and smile at the camera with that “look at me I have done it again look”. Laura hooked hers right after and was able to “outplay” him by pulling her bag across the line faster. If he had beat her she would be gone and he wouldn’t have had to play his idol, which could come in handy later on.
There have been others who have dominated competitions and stayed in the game without the luck of immunity idols. They treated people in such a way that they could get their jury vote which is the ultimate goal. Russell has put a big bullseye on his back which isn’t too smart and it will take some more luck to save his evil butt. I do give him credit for being a gamer and hate to think how boring this season would have been without him.

#27 Scotty “K” – You come up with the best stuff! Rob a Villian and Amber a Hero. I’m going to say something nice about Rob – he was one crafty, smart player on AR and Survivor. BUT, and there is a but, he really treated Amber like crap on AR, which really irritated the crap out of me!

I hated B-Rob too. Air time doesn’t mean you are liked. The producers pick some of the biggest a$$holes for entertainment value. You wouldn’t want to watch the Morman Tabernacle Choir on a reality show.
I forgot about burning Jaison’s socks and emptying the canteens of his own tribe. That was really stupid since you are counting on them to help beat the other tribe. We saw how messed up Jaison’s feet were during the rain. It would have helped the cause to have him in the best condition possible. Who knows it could have been eight Foo Foo’s make it to the merge instead of four and Russell wouldn’t be the target every week.

On AR Rob and Amber drove past an overturned car involving one of the other teams, without stopping to see if they were okay. As it turned out, a camera man in the car was hurt. Rob actually laughed when he saw it. Even Phil had sharp words to say to him about that at the pit stop. He made fun of locals calling them dumb because they couldn’t speak English. He was generally rude, sneaky, obnoxious, arrogant and an around asshole. He also treated Amber like a door mat.

Laura really smoked that shape puzzle last week. I couldn’t believe how bad Shambo was. She left the decoy piece in the tray and got confused as to which one had dropped rather than just tossing it on the ground. Then she seemed completely lost on a pre-school level puzzle. You could tell that Russell was annoyed.

Leo- My boot list has Rob eighth to leave, one short of the jury. The final five are Colby, Jerri, Russell and the winner not sure but between Parvatti and Sandra. I won’t put any faith in the list until I see the first episodes which should, if correct, have Sugar, Stephanie and Randy leaving in that order. The list is from Sucks but has been put out on other sites also.
Our main source for this season Missyae has been right 100% of the time. The last episode nobody knew who was leaving. Laura was speculated to be the bootee because she cancelled hosting her weekly Survivor watch party in her hometown and would have been evicted but for winning immunity. I guess she was disgusted by her BFF Kelly getting blind sided. TDT reached the wrong conclusion on that one.

Good morning folks — at least it’s morning out here in Vegas… Wow, read through a day of comments and don’t know where to start, so i’ll just make some general comments
**Is there an official list for next season out there yet? I keep hearing rumors.. however if Fairplay is out I will be sooooooo happy!
He claims the reason he pulled out so quickly was it was filmed a week after that whole incident with Bonaduchey throwing him to the ground on stage and he was still in a bunch of pain from it… he said Survivor begged him to go for the marketing purposes and that he could bail right away… oh well — i can’t stand him and would be VERY happy without him!
** I would also be happy without Eliza, Ozzie and some of the Fans vs. Faves people.. I would love to see fireman Tom back.. Even though i never liked him during the season he won
** I saw a whole story on Ethan and Jenna in this week’s people — poor guy is coming back from a tough cancer!
** LOVE that the Cowboy AND Philly got beat yesterday, my Giants needed the reprieve!!
** Amazing Race was AWESOME last night and terrific this season!! Sad for the father/son team.. I was laughing histerically with the whole candleabra thing though!!
** As far as the Rob/Amber thing.. Rob was a douche in the AR all-stars and both my wife and i had issues with how he treated Amber.. Not onyl was their wedding on ABC, his poker reality show was on Fox Reallity Channel.. I would root for him in a new Survivor
** For the last 5 or 6 seasons they’ve broken ties with an immediate firebuilding challenge! I’m looking forward to this week’s episode — With Shambo, they are still tied and need to get someone else on their side.. I have a strong feeling things are going to start falling apart for the fab four — just a thought I had recently..
** Talking about old-time survivors… Who would really recognize some of the people from the first few seasons — Jerri looks nothing like she did and has done so much (or little) since her season and the first All Stars… speaking of which, it’s sort of like how much I LOVED Kathy from Marquesas (i think she was on Vecepia’s season — the chick who peed on the gay nurse dude’s hand after he was stung by the fish)… But when she was on the first All Stars, I barely recognized her and hardly liked her anymore — same with Jerri — although it was cool seeing her and Colby interact after how he treated her love-sick ass in season 2..

I_Am_Baaraak,Mike(118,119)- Our final five on all-stars is the same except I have Rupert 6th. I love Rupert and would rather that he won than the others mentioned. I can’t see Russell getting jury votes to win. That is a stretch of imagination.

That was one great game – How stupid can the Patriots be? I would never give Peyton Manning anything to work with cause he is too good. My other favorite team, the Saints are also undeated. Hey, everyone! Been wondering through other spoiler sites today – no news, just chatter – maybe Eppy #10 will be locked up, too and be another great big surprise!! Did see one photo of Russell standing at an open tree trunk holding something wrapped in what appeared to be paper or cloth. There was some conversation about him making a fake idol. Personally, I can’t see him turning into YauMan at this point in the game! We’d have to start calling him YauRuss.
#145 Aaron – I’ll give you Memphis tomorrow night. That will take all the pressure off of Kansas and get them out of the “kiss of death” #1 ranking.
So sad to see the father/son go last night on AR, but they seemed to have a great time and grow closer as a family. Which is a lot like winning, in my opinion.

I love how everyone is a tough guy or gal behind their keyboards..
Very similar to driving — I ride motorcycles and when someone cuts me off I let them know and they freak out of their minds with fear when i pull alongside them and start knocking on their window… Same stuff happening here.
If everyone respected one another’s opinion without the flame-throwing, things would be much more peaceful — and we could focus on the issues at hand.
Bottom line is — no one knows for sure who the final five or three will be unless you were there while filming or know someone who does… let’s just watch it and have fun while it plays out!

Unfortunately, the decision has been made to ban someone from the site. I hate it but all of matt’s websites are friendly and that is why I like them. You can disagree with anyone but give your opinion without personally attacking them. I love this website and it has been great fun with all of you and I hope we can all continue to chat in future seasons of survivor.

I’d hate to see this site deteriorate into what some of the other fans sites have become. Scotty, I haven’t seen Top Chef, yet … going to watch it this evening, but I’ll be sad to see Robin go, too. You’re right about her skills, but she seems like a nice lady. I really hope that Eli goes next. I’m rooting for Jennifer for the win.

I read an interview with Kelly, and she came across as an intelligent, thoughtful (and hot!) girl. It’s a shame we didn’t get to know her at all on the show. Just like Brett … hopefully he’ll have his moment in the sun before he gets voted out. He seems like a cool dude. I don’t recall a Survivor where there has been so little air time given to people still playing the game at this stage.

#171 Cooper – Also read the Kelly interview. You are exactly right, she really sounded like someone I wish we could have known. I hope the same doesn’t happen with Brett. Even Kelly said he was a really nice person. You are right again about the on camera face time with these players. Maybe with the merge we’ll get to know them better.

If I had known then what I know now I would have just said that Boston Rob was the coolest most awesome person in the history ov TV but it is too late for that. Nanny- Thanks for standing up for me today. I think Kelly may have out danced Donnie but Donnie will probably get more votes from the public. It is a toss up to me. I really loved Joanna and Mya’s dances. They should be the top two. It is another toss up between them. As pretty as Joanna is I was shocked to see that her sister looks better than her. Hugh is taking pictures of the wrong one.

DWTS – What the crap is going on with these judges? They sure aren’t watching the same Kelly that I am. I NEVER support Donny, but tonight I am going to. On his worst night, he is a better dancer than she is. The judges must be thinking “Oh, gee, look at her cute smile. I think that I will give her a 9.” Give me a break. I agree that Mya and Joanna should be first and second, but to put that awkward (sorry folks, but I have to say this) cow in third place is ridiculous. Know what DWTS means tonight to me – It means DISGUSTED WITH THE SCORING!!!!!!!!

Summer: Gee, I hate to say it, but I do like Kelly, and I think she is the most improved dancer. Besides, the show is meant for celebrities that aren’t so good at dancing. I like Mya, too, but she has had more experience dancing in her career. And, she’s not a fat cow, so she has a more flexible body and any move will look better on her.

Mama d: The one that seems to know every contestant from BB and Survivor is IMB. Heck, he provably knows the camera people too. I personally, liked my idea of having the blond women of both shows go against each-other in a Survivor setting, so Jeff can watch his chicks and make up his mind which-ones are hotter for him. I don’t even remember all of the contestants, but I think it would also be a way to see if in fact, blonds are not so Brainy(Dumb). What do you think?.

Right off the bat…Ashley…great job again…I’d much rather read your opinion then what the spoilers say, but I understand cuz there’s only one episode a week…and it’s not live like BB, but great job girl!
Ok, I know I’m in the minority on this one…but I’m like 2 seconds from calling “Shananigans” on this season! It’s clear to me, Russell has the ever so famous “Producers helping hand” that we’ve seen, mostly on BB…Well it is CBS, so I’m sure the same type of producer input happens on Survivor too!
I mean come on…he finds the 2nd idol? Under a bridge? Seemed a little “wink wink” to me! And even if it were legitimate, how about they hide it a real spot? Not just in a tree…or under a bridge…that’s ridiculous! I thought the way they hid it before was way harder to find…
And then this is where I’m really pissed…they’re gonna put it back in play? What kinda crap is that? I can see last week putting it back in play cuz the idol left with Erik..but Russell used it…so it shouldn’t be in play again…but Russell needs a little help now, so they’re putting it back in? Sorry, but to me it’s obvious! Russell’s getting help…
For the 1st time ever…I’m ready to bail on this season…not just cuz he’s doing good….I actually like the guy now…little cocky but he’s a gamer and I think if he makes it to the end now, you’d have to at least consider that arguement that he had bigtime help as opposed to running things, playing a good game…
Since they’ve merged, I don’t see it, I said last week, this is where we’ll really see how good Russell is, but I don’t want to see it handed to him! I want to see how he can get out of trouble…WITHOUT help!

In watching the previews, I see everyone’s on like a mad dash to find the idol…since when did this become, “Find the hidden idol”?
If the producers were going to put an idol back in play after Erik left, then why didn’t they put 2 idols back? I mean using the same logic they’re using now…there should have been 2 idols back in play…no?
Everyone can say it was such a great tribal council or whatever…and I would have agreed, had Jeff not said the idol was back in play…What I heard was, “Russell….we’re helping you out here Buddy”
He was smart to use it….but come on…let’s assume he finds the 3rd idol….he’s gonna save himself 3 times with a hidden immunity idol? That’s supposed to be a little side thing…not the focus of the game…lame lame lame!!

Mama D…btw, I’m bailing on the trash talk this week on the Michigan/OSU game…I hate to admit it, but Michigan sucks soooo bad! I’ve also heard win or lose, Rich Rod will be gone after the game…they’re a team in turmoil…probably 3 years away from being a great team again…
So yeah…no trash talking from me! Normally I’d be all for it…cuz even when Michigan sucks, and OSU is good…sometimes Michigan can come and steal that game…same with alot of rivalries…but not this time…the boys aren’t gonna play for Rich Rod…they probably want him gone…and now that the NCAA has ruled that there will be inquiries or whatever…yeah they’re done…they’ll be lucky to score double digits…but still….Boooooo to OSU!! I for one am sick and tired of hearing about all these little kids who are kidnapped and killed. Let’s all write to the powers that be and get a new law passed that says basically “Once a child molestor, ALWAYS in prison.” That beautiful little girl in N.C. is just one in a string of heartbreaking stories. @ 169 Momma… I understand Bravo frequently replays Top Chef and I usually DVR the new Wed night episode repeat (at 11, so it doesn’t interfere with primetime stuff)… however I like the on-demand version with a single commercial (same on with Tom Coliccio hawking diet coke over and over LOL), and I can watch it whenever I want.
@ #170 Cooper… Sorry for spoiling last Wednesday’s show, I just assumed everyone saw it by yesterday — please forgive me… robin does not have the same chops and doesn’t deserve the title.. I hate to say Eli is right at anything — however, his comments about her being the lesser of three evils at Judges table is correct… This time however his dish was unedible and he should have been the one, but I guess they went off of all of her bottom three appearences..

@ #245 Summer… Everyone who has been convicted for child molestation needs to be castrated — plain and simple! I would rather not have to pay to keep these animal locked up when a simple castration takes away all their sickness!
I work with the federal bureau of prisons as well as many state and county dept of corrections and they are waaaaay over budget and busting at the seams!!

Good morning, lovely people. We have about four inches of fresh, pristine snow here. I think I’ll hit the x-country ski trails near my house after work.
I agree with Paul. Previous contestants haven’t ever looked for the immunity idol prior to receiving a clue. Maybe it was thought of as an unwritten rule or something. Russell is re-writing the rules, and others will follow. I don’t think that CBS has interfered or given him any help.

Scotty, no worries about the Top Chef spoiler. I had a feeling that Robin would be the next to go, anyway. I’m sure they used her consistent bottom feeder status to vote her off because if it had been on that evening’s fod alone, Eli would have been gone! His dish looked disgusting! Come on … caramel apple and peanut soup with crushed popcorn and raspberry fluff topping! It looked liked a bowl of barf. Nigella’s face was priceless!

Good Morning everyone, I just have to give my opinion on Russell: I liked-hated him since the start, now, I just like him. I think that he studied the previous Survivor seasons, and he really did study them, and that’s how he got his pointers. I don’t think the producers are helping him, they are out in the open and more than one smart contestant would have figured it out.
If he had gotten outside help, he would have kept more quiet when he found the idols, but it’s like his arrogance took over his brain, and he had to tell most every-one that he had found the idols.

I know that Russell, because of his big mouth, is easier to get hated than liked. But, I see him as someone who is really playing the game on his own merits. Granted, his arrogance can be his greatest weakness.
Erick also found the Idol with not too many clues. He knew there was an idol somewhere, and didn’t wait for more info to come his way. While John looked on, Erick did his work, looked, and got it.

black girl, I agree with you, but why keep them in jail?. whether we believe in the Death Penalty or not, people with the kind of evil inside of them, that don’t respect innocent children, should be sentenced to Death. Maybe, it would stop others like them from continuing their sick crimes, if the punishment was as harsh as their actions.

Scotty K 247. I am a little confused. YOu say that you agree with me about Kelly, and then you say that you love her and voted her for her. So, what is it, my friend? Cause, I don’t like the chick. As far as castrating all child molestors – good idea, but the problem is that these sickos would just find another way to get their jollies on little kids. I think that we should stop putting people in jail for minor drug charges, and start filling up the prisons with child molestors, and murderers. Some crimes just ain’t worth the time, know what I mean? Anyway, that’s my point of view for what it is worth. Still trying to get tickets for MJ concert again. Problem is that I can’t go until the end of this month, and I am not sure that it still will be on. Boo hoo, if I don’t get to see it again, cause you know I thought it was awesome!!!!!
Sorry about Leo, but sometimes he just gets carried away, but I still like him, and some of his stuff makes sense. It just becomes too repetitive. BUT — he should not mess with Jeff. Too dangerous, cause he will win everytime!!! But – NOT ABOUT MONICA!!

Killer, you just can’t bring yourself to like Russell. I understand that he rubs people the wrong way but he is good at the game and as Paul said, he has forever changed the way others will play in the future. The funny thing is that this show wasn’t aired when all stars was being filmed so it will be interesting to see if he can find the idols without help next season. I do agree about putting more idols in play especially since the first two were used. Not sure what the producers were thinking when they decided to do that. I would rather see the rest of the game play out on strategy and winning challenges instead of searching for the idol.

Hidden immunity idols are part of the strategy to the game. Some team will have the advantage with the clue to find it. Advantage. Russell is just smart enough to look for it irreguardless of clues. It’s not luck that he finds it, it’s constantly searching. The idol works in the strategy game immensely. As we saw in the last episode, it was heavily debated as to wether they would vote for russell or what would happen if he’d actually found the Hidden Idol. The one person spoke out and said “We can’t worry about wether he has the idol or not. He probably doesn’t and needs to go irreguardless.” It cost them a member of their Galu team. Strategy hinges on the Idol. It makes people question, rethink, mull over previous ideas. It throws a wrench into your planning. Russell throws down the Idol and Eric who had an Idol in pocket goes home with this dumbfounded look on his face. The Idol MATTERS.

Mikey, I understand that the idol matters. What I am saying is they have already played two of them. They always play two. Like killer k said in his post this game is about strategy not who can find idols. Have they ever had more then 2 idols played in one season? I like the fact that they have them but why keep hiding them after they were used.

Ashley…thanks so much for at least seeing my point! And you’re wrong…I like Russell…the guy’s grown on me…but all this talk about him being this uber-gamer is driving me nuts! I seriously haven’t seen him do much….but we’ll debate that another time…
It amazes me how gullible people can be!! Are you kidding me people? Some of you think there’s never no producer interference? We see it on a daily basis when we’re watching BB! So why wouldn’t it happen here? I’m not saying there’s straight up cheating…and I’m not even saying he got help for sure…but it’s possible!
BTW, when Russell mentioned looking for it…how it had to be by a landmark or whatever…I didn’t know a bridge was a landmark…so trust me people…producer help can happen!
How hard would it be to tip Russell off? Tell him that there’s another idol and hints on where it could be? Not very hard at all…and even if Russell came clean and admitted it(he never would though), there’s no proof..so yeah…shit like that happens all the time on reality shows…email some of the contestants like I have…see what they have to say about it!
But let’s assume…for sake of arguement…he was smart enough to look for the idol…Ok, I’ll concede and give him props for that…I still think it was a way lame place to hide it…someone mentioned it being right in the mail box last season…ok, I get that too…but after the damn things right in the tree the first time, they hide it in a lame spot again?
Ok…so I’ll let all that go…for sake of argument…but now we got ANOTHER idol this week? Sorry…but that was put back in play for one person and one person only…and that’s Russell…help? Or not? Believe what you want…Cuz I’m going to…thanks again Ash…

To answer Your question Ashley about if there were ever more than Two idols played.The immunity Idol Always goes back into play until they are down to the last four or five people.On every episode.Its Just never been played more than once until they couldnt play it anymore.No other cast member who has found the idol has never used it or needed to more than once.Thats the reason why Your seeing more of it b/c Russell needs to play it or everyone knows hes gone.If Galu was smart,they dont trust Shamboo so they should have just voted her off and still had the numbers.

You have to admit,the Foa Foa came into the merge out numbered 8-4.Its amazing how they survived and now its 5-5.You have to respect Foa Foas strategy.Nat got rid of Erik and Russell with the blind side,They are playing a better game than Galu.

I agree Paul, the foas are out playing the galus. Thanks for the info on the idols. I bet in future seasons of survivor we will see a lot more idols because people will always search for them on their on. Russ has changed that and good for him. Can’t wait to see what goes down at TC thursday night.
