Survivor Samoa Episode 6 Discussion
So what did everyone think of this week’s Survivor Samoa? Should Russell have been evacuated? Is Survivor production overreacting to these medical emergencies or are they taking advantage of the opportunity to speed up the biggest game they’ve ever had?

Wow..cant believe im the first person to post…must be because i never sleep. Anyway..im sorry Russell had medical problems but im glad he was eliminated….i think he was on a power trip.(sorry all you Russell fans). And i thought Monica should be the one to go (sorry Jeff) if they had gone to tribal. She is the weakest link.

Galu is a bunch of whiners, first they complained that Yasmin did nothing at camp then they b*tch about Russell doing too much.
anyhoo Brussell impressed me more last night with the whole raining situation. He is one tought cookie and he is my second fav.
As for my fav Erik, shut up dude, dont motivate foa foa to come afer you.
John, John my new pal – thank you for giving Shambo another chance.
My only fear is that Shambo might flip to foa foa if she makes the merge.

Shabimbo needs to go. I sure hope that they don’t make her the leader. I think that I would gag. Boston Rob – Arrogant, Narcisstic, Obnoxious, coming back? How many times do you get to be an ass on TV? I hate that guy, and was hoping that I would never have to look at his face again. No matter what you think of Brussell, he was a gentleman, and played the game well. I am sorry that he left so many bimbos behind on his team that may win a million dollars. I am routing for GRUSSELL, only because he is the only one who is playing the game, and I thought what he said at Tribal Council shows that underneath that tough interior, he is a nice guy. Blackgirl, you are right about Galu being a bunch of whiners, with Shabimbo leading the pack. She keeps saying what she has contributed – yeah, losing stuff is her main forte’. Can’t wait for her to go, and then Monica needs to depart the premises. The reason that Survivor is so careful about medical stuff, is because they don’t want to be sued, and I think that GRUSSELL was in real trouble on the episode.

What about the Pizza, SS should have given the pizza to both tribes to boost their spirits after all that emotional stuff with Russell.

There was a write up in the paper today about it, and it says that although it was excellent, he really looked weak and sick near the end. I will let all of you know what I think of the show.

I feel the medical response and then the evaluations that were shown, showed it slow to come and that is unacceptable, his head is hanging down and hes limp and noones moving, reacting, the medic seemed not educated enough to be doing more right away. I would not want her helping my family in a crisis. Hope he does better. Not my favorite charicter at all. This season is the worst, the other Russell, isnt funny, smart, or a good charicter for the show. I hope someone gets smart and votes him off, the show seems to focus on this loser, no charicter development is happening, as by this time in other seasons. Fire that casting agent immediately.

I was sad to see Russell go but he was showing the signs of being worn out, if they would have hydrated him and let him come back he would have had an unfair advantage. I just hope they catch on to the other Russel and get him out. Even though he is playing a good game i do not like his smugness.

Well, after reading some of your thoughts I agree that GRUSSELL stood up and took charge of the situation with the weather. Although I don’t like the way he demeans his tribemates, he is playing the game.
Your right about the medical team taking out BRUSSELL because they don’t want to be sued.He didn’t look like he could have continued anyway.
I agree if a vote had taken place, Monica should have been voted out.

I think that it was definitely appropriate that Russell was sent home, and I feel badly for him. I hope he will be doing fine after liquids, warmth and rest. I am routing for Foa Foa – I really want them to succeed. I also think people are being too hard on Shambo – she is contributing as much or more than the gals doing the yoga and working on their tans. She just doesn’t fit their mold, so they want her out. I hope she does go with the Foa Foa group when they merge. Russell on Foa Foa is playing a good game, but I hated with a passion his attitude toward women on his team, and I hate that he wants team mates to suffer so they will listen to him…but if I were a betting person, I would put him in the finals for sure…everyone else was shaking from cold, and he was working and didn’t look cold at all. I guess it was Erik on the other team that was taunting Foa Foa at the group meeting…they will definitely have his number. I’m sure Russell is already plotting that one!! Finally, I agree that both teams should have enjoyed pizza at that meeting – it was a stressful day for all of them.

well after i had my hurneia repair surgery my intestens swelled up on both ends and notheing was going out and notheing was going in and i was dehydrated realy bad so i had to be put in the emergency for more then eight hours while they wer pumping liquids in my vains so i know how it feels to be like GRussle you just can’t think and your out of it completly and it ant no wonderlands it hell.

I think Spindlyjean is right about Shambo totally on. She’s a player alright. Hope she makes it to the merge as she’ll have friends already.
Hope the rest of BRUSSELL’s teammates realize what a ass he is and vote him out. But, he’s too devious to let that happen.

I haven’t had much to say about this season, although like a lot of people I am disappointed. It would have been better if they had accepted my BFF’s dad to go on the show…. But it was hard to see Russell go out that way, when you have family it does make you feel like you let them down. I also said, last night that Jeff should have given both tribes Pizza, I mean hell, a little something after such an emotional day I’m sure it would have been a welcome treat. I fully expect Galu to fall apart now unless someone shows they have cajonas besides Shambo…

Hi I’m new here and hello to everyone!
I thought that jeff did the right thing and he was watching russell pretty close. don’t forget they were all blindfolded accept the girls in the balls. but they could see nothing much like jeff did.
his team got so used to him doing everything that they sat back or stayed in the hut. these people should be doing something other then just sitting. it might have been better for them. seems like if you are building a fire pit you would have something over it to keep the ambers dry. it was raining but it came straight down. I really don’t have any idea’s in this area because i did not get a look long enough at the foilage. but i think there has to be something around. fire is important in this game.

Pat, that whole team has been like that since the beginning, remember Shambo complaining about it. When they were doing the yoga. So over them… they like to stand and watch, they looked like a hurd of cattle last night under the tree.

I was very sorry for RussellS but other than that I thought the whole episode was Terribly BOring. Rain and Cold and whining. Survivor needs to get these people going!! Where are the Characters? What’s going on?? Did I miss something everyone else saw? Shambo even lost her swagger. Everyone was pitiful except NastyRussell and he was even subdued. Hope next week is better!!

Black girl- Good job with the welcoming committee. Your boy Eric sure laid out the trash talk at the wrong time. This is, I think, the last week before the merge. The people he badmouthed are about to be his tribemates. Although the Foo Foo tribe is about down to nothing, you have to respect that they have survived a lot of tribal councils to get where they are and might not be as weak as you think. Galu doesn’t even know about that phase of the game yet, having only evicted one tribemate, Yasmin

I agree with the pizza all of them should of got some. The problem for me this season more than most seasons I have no early favorites. Last year , from day one I loved TAJ and JT this season no one is stepping up. The character development is either slow or there really for me is no one exceptionable.

In addition(#43)When I say one more week, in Survivor time that is only two or three days. Foo Foo will have Eric fresh on their minds at the merge. You noticed on the preview for next week Russell (there is only one now!) was asking Laura into his alliance. If successful he also can easily get Monica and Kelley. That will be 4 Foo Foos and 3 Galus, thus giving them the numbers to eliminate all the guys on Galu.

I think Jeff was right to take Russell out of the game, but he should have given all of them the pizza. Russell could have easily died if he were to continue in that rain. Can’t those people find enough material to have a water proof shelter? Seems like a lot of material at hand.

It’s tough to see anybody go out the way GRussell did, especially someone who wanted to be there so bad. I do think the right decision was made and it was good to hear at the end GRussell saying he had a more important job back home in taking care of his family. Also, doesn’t the merge usually take place later, like once there’s only 10 people left? Russell or Laura could just be the one sent to the other camp. I also agree that both teams should’ve gotten pizza.

Three cheers for Good Russell! When he passed out the second time, staring, glassy-eyed and unresponsive, we can all see why everyone was frightened. Hey, the guy gave it his all while he was there. Let’s face it, there are just a small percentage of people who could make it through the Survivor experience.
Did read on another site that the tribes supposedly DID get pizza, but they didn’t have time to show it. (My husband swears they have a snack trailer at each camp – no, he’s not a fan of the show.)
I’m still watching for that one player I can cheer for – hope he or she shows up soon!!

June – I like Jack Russells. My neice has one, named “Baxter.” They are high maintenance, but sweet, but as I say Barney doesn’t like mixed relationships. He wants a hot, red, miniature poodle, with lots of money, and a good personality who will keep him in the type of life he has become accustomed to. (The lap of luxury)

GRussell–too bad he went out like that. However, the leader thing had gone to his head, and he felt like he had to provide for everyone. So, he’s the Galu martyr. Many of the rest of the tribe just watched him work and either thought he was nuts, or put him down. Then, once he’s down for the count and out, they had some remorse. Go figure.
Shambo–she has worked more than many, but lost fishing gear, and a chicken. She should not have shared the clues about immunity idols. Not that it mattered, as they have both been found. Also, not sure about the guys pulling her into their clique of confidence. She has proved she can’t hold a secret. Still, I think she’s a stronger competitor than many. GRussell did her wrong in the last episode by sending her to Foa after she slammed down her yucky-smoothie. Guess karma bit GRusell in the butt for that one as well as not choosing the tarp.
BRussell–it appears he still has his zombies in a row. He’ll pick ‘em off one by one until someone wises up and exposes him, or gets a secret alliance to oust him. Might be tough with him holding one of the idols. Bet his tribemates will be pissed when they watch the show and see the dirty tricks he’s pulled on them.
Liz–hope she stays in there. She’s my latest fave. Looks like she and/or Natalie dodged as bullet with no tribal this week.
Dave–fire-man might be his saving grace with Galu now that GRussell is out.

Nanny..I grew up in chgo and now in Cleveland…when the snow 1st hits the ground and it’s nite…it’s magic..I drag my grands out and do snowangels.. When I was young,I could skateboard.but they wer all red and NOT like today..I’d break more than my body and then would be in court for city damanges..haha

That Liz is one tough girl! I didn’t care for her much at first, but now I really admire her strength and guts. As for ShambleBo, I can’t explain why exactly, but I like her. She seems real. Bad Russell is so creepy. As for whiners, Jaison … suck it up, dude! I hope next week’s episode features more substance. I can’t take any more rain-soaked whiners shivering in their under-built shelters.

Nanny, Barney will have to check his social calendar, but if he is not busy, he will be happy to ride shotgun. YOu and Mama d are SO funny. Just saw this on the news, and it makes me so PI$$ED that I wanted to pass it on. Michael Jackson’s mother is going back to court, because she CAN’T live on the monthly allowance she is getting. GIVE ME A BREAK!!! What did she live on before MJ died? She gets $30,000.00 each month for herself, and $60,000 each month for the kids, and that totals over a million dollars per year. She is greedy, and I have lost all respect for her. It doesn’t cost that much money to live a VERY good life. I’ll bet MJ’s no good, greedy dad has something to do with this. Poor Michael, he is probably rolling over in his grave. DISGUSTING!!!!!

I do believe that the team is doing a great job and they should have taken Russell out for his safety. It was hard for him but his life is more important than any game.
They should have let Foa Foa have more of a chance to finish the game, they were ahead. They need a win so bad.They should all have a pizza though to help with moral.

June 113. I wouldn’t mind taking care of them either. Say what you want about MJ, he raised his kids right. The problem with them being in the custody of his mother is that puts them close to his dad. From what MJ has said about him beating him, etc., they shouldn’t be anywhere near that evil man. He is so pushy, that no matter what Katherine says, he will be around those kids, and he will spend MJ’s money. I know that MJ spend a lot of money in his lifetime, too, but he is the one who worked his tail off for the money, and I hate that his mother is going to blow it all. Watch and see, that inheritance will be gone in a very short period of time. What else is new? Nothing, but it sure is a beautiful day, so I guess I should go out and finish my hardwork. UGH!!!

Hey, Mama d. Just heard that there will be a CD of “This is It.” out before Christmas, so if you don’t get tickets, you still will not miss out. I can’t hardly wait for next Sunday, and I will let you guys know if it’s good or not. They ran a review on TV today, and it looks, and he looks terrific.

Hey, help me out. Looks like I am the only one who has been on the site today, but, anyway, I know a lot about professional football, but diddly squat about college football. What does ‘wildcat’ play mean? Also, Mama d, not only will there be a CD of “This is It” but there will be a DVD of the entire show prior to Christmas. Thought you might like to know. Now, as Blackgirl said “All by myself, don’t wanna be, all by myself anymore”, so I am cutting out for the week-end. Byeeeeee :blush:

I still don’t like the way they made up that story in the beginning about helping the homeless just to gain sympathy and make friends. That was so wrong.
