Even after so many series there is no formula as to who wins Survivor - this is what keeps it so amazingly fresh! So many people along the way have thought they've "got it in the bag" only to be blindsided (don't we love that!!). So many others could have won and maybe have been more worthy winners than those who did, if they played the game a little differently. What makes a winner - is it social skills, strategic game playing or the luck & skills to win immunity at the right times?

Summer- I didn't know what the wildcat formation was either so I googled it and from Wikipedia I found out the following. It is an offensive formation with a distinguishing factor of a direct snap to the running back and an unbalanced offensive line. Every play looks like a sweep behind zone blocking. After the snap several things can happen once a player in motion crosses the position of the player receiving the snap. The running back can run it himself or hand off to another running back or the quarterback who can either throw a pass or run it themselves. It makes it hard to defend because so many options are available. Micheal Vick claims to be the originator. In college it was first used by the Arkansas Razorbacks and was called the Wild Hog Offense in 2008. Coaches Gus Malzahn (now with Auburn) and David Lee (now with the Miami Dolphins) were the coaches who implemented it with the Razorbacks. David Lee as quarterback coach with the Dolphins used it when their quarterback was injured against the Carolina Panthers and they played a number of plays without even using a quarterback.

I guess I didnt post this info here but I know I posted it over at SUCKS. For whomever said they would respect Russell if he had made a fake hidden immunity idol - start respecting. Before the merge when they were sending people to visit each others camps - Russell and Ben made a fake idol and Shambo found it but never used it and it was never part of the game. The reason I was given as to why we didnt see this is the producers felt they have spent way too much time in recent seasons devoted to fake idols - especially since it had no bearing on The Game at all this season. For those keeping count of idols - Russell found 3 and created 1 fake one. Next season he finds 3 more and talks someone out of theirs for a total of 4 hidden idols next season. And you know what? Some still wont respect that as good gameplay. Some will say the producers just hid them and told him where they were at. To me - thats just someone who does not like that particular player and cannot bring themself to admitting it was quite a feat to pull off. It was great how Natalie went and infiltrated the Galu women but guess whos idea it was and asked her to do it? Anyway - Monica is talking today in interviews and saying some pretty interesting stuff.

I put my Survivor Christmas ornament on the tree today - it plays the theme music from the show - if you lean in close to the computer screen, maybe you can hear it. Off to wrap gifts - chat later, peeps!
