Survivor Samoa: Two Brains Are Better Than One
Night 33: Brett is making Sham happy by massaging her head. My question is how can he touch the mop on her head? I mean none of them have bathed or washed their hair and she has got a lot of hair on top of that head. Even Russ is disgusted with her hair and said if he didn’t need her that she would be gone because of her nasty hair. Meanwhile, Russ and Jaison discuss sending Brett to the jury IF he doesn’t win immunity again.
The reward challenge: Natalie is captain of the purple team and Russell is the captain of the yellow team. She chooses Brett as her first pick and Mick second so Jaison and Sham are with Russ. Russ and Jaison are concerned about how close Nat and Brett have become. The challenge is pulling an intertwined rope (1 of many) to drop as few coconuts as possible. The first team to drop 100 coconuts lose. After the first round it appears the yellow team is going to lose because they drop 19 coconuts to purple’s 4. As the game progressed however, Russell pulled it together and dropped 0 and Brett was the last one for purple and pushed them over 100 coconuts. Russ, Sham and Jaison enjoy a huge feast in Samoan village of all kinds of seafood and an entire pig and plot to become the final 3. Russ says he needs to pull Nat aside when they get back and spend 2 hours with her to get her head right. They spend the night in the village and sleep on pillows and cover up with blankets.
The Immunity Challenge: The contestants race to a field where there are 6 different stations. They have to count the objects in each station and use the numbers as a combination to open a lock and then break a tile. Russ, Mick, Jaison and Brett all finish counting and race to break the combination. Mick is wrong and then Jaison is wrong and they go back to recount but Brett is right and wins immunity for the second time. Jaison decides that Sham is not helping them enough in challenges and she must go.
Russ lies to Sham and tells her the plan is to vote out Mick and then he gets Mick on board to vote her out.
Tribal Council: Sham admits she was a traitor to Galu. There is a lot of talk about it being the end game and Russ claims this is the first time he feels bad about voting someone off. Russ also says he is going to keep the immunity idol for a souvenir and then Sham is eliminated. Russ wouldn’t even look at her and I know he did feel bad about the decision.
Well, not as much drama as I was expecting for this episode but it was still pretty good. In my opinion, Russ should have kept Sham because everyone on the jury dislikes her and probably would have voted for him over her but that isn’t going to happen. Sunday night is the 2 hour finale so be sure to watch and see if Brett can make it 3 in a row and find out the winner of Survivor Samoa.

I agree that Russell should have kept Shambo cuz he can’t win against any of the remaining four. Jaison and Mick should have had that challenge..those two are really poor players and I wouldn’t want to see either of them win the money. Sooo proud of Shambo how she took her eviction.Hope she gets a new hairdo for the reunion show.

blackgirl, you are right about Sham taking her eviction with class. I should have made mention of that in the blog instead of talking about her hair but it was gross to watch brett massaging it.
December 17th, 2009 at 11:10 pm
Yeah Ashley that is why I am hoping for her to get a new hairdo cus it looks really dusgusting.

Shambo was a class act tonight! She took her elimination with grace and good humour. Hello, Laura and Monica … take notes! I hope the Galuvians don’t give Sham a really bad time at the jury house. Hopefully she’ll spend a few hours in the shower dowsing her hair with shampoo and conditioner and we’ll see a glammed up, itchless Shambo on Sunday!
What was the prayer circle thing going on between Nat and Brett all about??
Did you see Laura’s face when Russell declared that he was taking the idol home for a souvenir? Priceless. She has no warmth or kindness in her eyes at all. I find her extremely unattractive. In fact, she makes me shudder … and not in a good way.
I’m no Monica fan, but I’ll give her, her due. She looked beautiful tonight.

click my name to vote for the $100,000 on this seasons survivor, not sure if you have to register to vote on CBS, but keep your antivirus antispyware etc ON, CBS appears to be whacked and hacked, their trivia game ends up in a viral cascade nearly every time after only a few game questions…
December 18th, 2009 at 12:56 am
yes you DO have to register AND REREGISTER even if you are registered
to vote the $100,000 winner
December 18th, 2009 at 2:11 am
Russell once again make for a watchable episode. Keeping the idol was classic.
December 18th, 2009 at 2:38 am
After hardly seeing Brett at all this season he has emerged as the strongest player on the island. He is guaranteed all the jury votes if he makes it to the final three. This unfortunately has made him the prime target. Since we know he is final four he will have missed a million dollars by one immunity competition.
December 18th, 2009 at 2:49 am
Shambo did show class in leaving tonight. I noticed Russell had the teary eyes after the vote instead of his usual stupid smile. He is a real piece of crap for going in front of the camera and making the personal assaults on her. I bet they all have bad breath at that point in the game. I have to agree about the hair though.I thought it was funny when they showed the Shambo family moment. That girl (her sister I think) had more hair than Shambo.

Scotti K- This IS a spoiler site and Ashley is just doing her job.(Quite well I might add) As far as Team JJ being out of the race I am not convinced and I have not seen confirmation of this per Reality Fan Forum and the amazing TAR detectives. I am hoping they whip out a Coup- de-tat or something.
AC- mamma d is one of my Facebook friends and I have seen her. She doesn’t look like Shambo. She is a hottie!!
Cat- I am glad the veterinarian let you come home. I really missed your purring.

Good morning all.. Great episode last night!! Was happy to see Jaison win something for a change, even he made mention of it
I love all the hair references about Sham, especially all the Russell comments — hillarious!!
I think the producers should have made more of an effort to show us more of Brett and who he is.. he’s still an enigma to me..
Don’t mind Shambo leaving as I really want Mick or Jaison to win the million and $100k!!
Can’t wait till Sunday!!
PS: Jeff, I know spoilers are discussed here — I don’t come here for that and would never come on Thursday evenings before the show airs.. I look at this site as more of a fan site than a spoiler site and love talking to (most of) you.
December 18th, 2009 at 11:44 am
so far John is the only real person on survivor who answered my FB request
just about everyone is there !! including RH !!
December 18th, 2009 at 11:51 am
19 Jeff.
I agree, Shambo showed great respect in her going away speech. Although it was sort of funny that she said they stayed loyal to their tribe the ‘way it should be’. but considering she never really felt a part of her original tribe I can square that comment with her bailing on her own tribe.
Another thing I noticed. Each time Russell gets someone blindslided. He always looks them straight in the eye after it happens. He never looks away or down like most people.

#5 Cooper – I have to say I was offended by the prayer circle at the challenge – AND the tent revival in the hut before the challenge.
There is a time and a place for everything and praying for coconuts not to fall, in my humble opinion, is not the time nor the place. Most offensive was Nat running back to RussHell after the challenge to make amends and keep her alliance strong. Was she sending up phony prayers before the alter of the coconuts? How offensive!

Ditto to all of the comments regarding Shambo. Nasty mullett and all, she showed grace and class!
December 18th, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Ashley – great recap of the show – no, not a real bell-ringer of an eppy, but good overall.
December 18th, 2009 at 12:49 pm
Missyae – left you a message at #43 on the previous post.

Yes, Shambo left with class. Loved Russell’s comments about the stuff she hides in her hair. He is a riot. So–Jordan and Jeff are out of the AR. Gee, what a surprise. I knew when their names were announced for that series that they wouldn’t get far cause that game requires skill and intelligence.

#39 AC – you’re the man!
December 18th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
I don’t think Brett was really massaging Shambo’s head but was looking for a snack. One of the lost chickens might have been in there. Who knows?
