Two tribes will come together soon for the merge in Survivor South Pacific but will it be sooner rather than later? That is the big question on all Survivor fans minds today after watching Ozzy make what could be the worst move in Survivor history or the boldest. Let’s break this down.

Let’s assume the merge will come next like Savaii is hoping, what is to guarantee Ozzy will beat Christine in the upcoming dual? Nothing. She rocks at these challenges. She was the first one voted off and is still hanging in there and she beat Mikayla, let’s not forget that.

Another thing, Christine hates her tribe, so why not send Cochran over to fight it out, Christine beats him and joins the others at the merge where she is welcomed with open arms into the Savaii circle. She is most definitely a force and could be used on the weakened tribe.

This strategy doesn’t enter the mind of the great Ozzy however. It seems to me that he is looking for some kind of heroic welcome for choosing to get sent to Redemption Island. Not only does he hand Cochran a life line but he also gives him the idol. What if the merge isn’t next and Savaii loses another Immunity Challenge? The team will want Cochran out and he would be crazy not to use the idol on himself and send one of the stronger players to face Ozzy or Christine in yet another dual. So that would put the team down by two. I hate to say it but I am hoping Christine will pull off the win here and send Ozzy home.

I just don’t like this strategy and with a million dollars at stake you NEVER ask to get voted out. NEVER!!! I am frustrated with this whole line of thinking.

Over at Upolu things are looking up. Way up into the sky as the group prays and prays for divine intervention for one, finding the idol Coach already has and two for winning the Immunity Challenge. This warms Brandon’s heart as he really thinks God had a part in finding the HII and once the challenge is over and Coach forces the team to their knees for another group prayer they get to enjoy a movie with all the snacks and drinks they can eat. The tribe seems rather united at this point. Perhaps Coach is doing the right thing by his group.

One thing is for certain. You would never see him ask to go to RI to face Christine lol. So here’s hoping the third time is the charm for our Tai Chi expert. Coach for the win. Let’s hope he keeps his strategy in tact and leaves the stupidity in the sand or with Ozzy whichever works best for him.

What an awesome episode last night of Survivor South Pacific! We start out with Savaii returning from their first blindside and an incredibly pissed off Ozzy acting like a spoiled child that his girlfriend Elyse got evicted. That being said, you can’t blame him for being mad at Keith. The guys made a final two deal and instead of giving a heads up like any smart player would have done in seasons past (pun intended here), he laid low, didn’t say crap and Ozzy comes out looking like an idiot. However, Ozzy let it get the best of him and pouted like a child for a while and let his tribe know he had the idol but he wisened up and apologized. He’s played this game before so he knows he needs his people at the merge and they have got to have some trust and loyalty. Besides that, he looks hot in his boxers swimming under the water and spearing fish lol.

At the Redemption Island dual, Christine once again is the victor. She’s worn out. She’s tired of being alone but puts her best foot forward and sends Elyse home. I have to give her some props. She rocks in these challenges. Personally I would love to see her reenter the game just to get voted right back out lol. Surely she knows from watching other reality shows including Survivor that her fate has already been decided and she has pretty much zero chance of making it to the finals.

The immunity/reward challenge was the best so far this season. Team members had to assemble a wheelbarrow and two guys from each tribe drive it through an obstacle course and pick up two loads of coconuts that they empty into a trough. Once both loads are emptied they turn the wheelbarrow into a large sling shot and use the coconuts to knock down five targest. Upolu is off to an early lead and I thought for sure they were going to win again but much to the dismay of Coach, Mikayla does not have the strength to fire the coconuts into the target, not to mention she is only using one hand. Coach tries more than once to get her to sit out and let Albert and himself continue alone but stubborness overtook her and she continues to try and pretty much loses it for her team. Savaii wins immunity and enjoys a day away from camp at a rock water slide with cliff diving and a nice picnic.

Upolu is completely divided. Albert and Sophie think it is best to keep Mikayla because she is a strong competitor and evict Edna who does absolutely nothing and is sat out of the challenge once again while Coach wants Mikayla gone because she is uncontrollable. At tribal we have Coach and Brandon against Albert and Sophie. Brandon throws in a bunch of rambling about loyalty and keeping your word and even says to vote him out if they can’t play with loyalty. He calls Albert out on what he said about keeping Edna over Mikayla. Rick, who we haven’t seen much of this season is the deciding vote between the two group and in the end sides with Coach and votes out Mikayla. I love Coach and want to see him succeed in the game but this was not a smart move. We’ll have to see if Upolu can continue to win immunity as they vote out their strongest players week after week.

What did you think of the decision to send Mikayla to Redemption Island?

After a somewhat heartfelt apology from Brandon to Mikayla last week on Survivor South Pacific, the episode begins with him saying she has no class for not trusting him since he is a Hantz. I thought he was embarrassed by the Hantz name and wanted to show it in a new light and perhaps he is with all the crying and whining he does about it in every episode. With that one little clip at the beginning of the show, Brandon is surprisingly absent while some of the others on Upolu tribe get a little face time.

Over at Redemption Island, Albert and Mikayla watch from Upolu and Whitney and Dawn from Savaii. Stacey, who knows she has no chance against her bff Christine proceeds to call out her tribe and let Savaii in on all their secrets. She refuses to call Coach, Coach but insteads goes for his actual real name of Benjamin which hits a strong nerve when Albert relays this back at camp. I know she called out Albert and Sophie as well but without the subtitles showing us what was actually said, I couldn’t understand a word of it. For the actual duel, the girls will drop a ball into a twisting shoot and catch it when it comes down. Every so often they add another ball making it a little harder to catch each time. Stacey, with all her wisdom drops her balls in without even thinking of strategy or spacing them out but Christine does and once again to everyone’s chagrin she wins and remains alive to fight another day. I can’t stand this chick and root against her every week but she’s fierce in the comps. I’ve got to respect her a little for that.

Back at the camps, both tribes get to hear all about Stacey’s rant and Ozzy makes a comment that if Coach was smart he would get rid of Albert soon. Paranoid Jim takes this and runs with it. He realizes if Ozzy thinks Coach should get rid of one of the best competitors that Ozzy feels the same way. He wants to break up the Ozzy and Elyse alliance and has Cochran still on board to do just that. Cochran decides to help Ozzy fish and goes off in the boat. Ozzy rocks and catching fish and brings back 11 for his tribe but then says he needs a nap. Cochran, in his confessional says Ozzy has turned into a middle aged lazy ass lol. You’ve got to love the nerd in the group speaking his mind.

Albert is searching for the clue and idol relentlessly and finds the clue which leads him to looking in the top of trees along the beach. He enlists the help of Coach and Sophie and after saying a little prayer, Coach finds the HII. He is pretty pleased with himself. In fact, with the exception of having to hear about Stacey, Coach is in one of his better moods of the season.

In what is one of the most disgusting Immunity Challenges ever, the teams arrive to see two roasted pigs on a spit. With their hands tied behind their backs they race to the pig and bite off as much as they can and spit it out in a basket. After ten minutes, the teams with the most weight wins Immunity and a reward of veggies, bread and spices. They are getting huge pieces of meat stuck in their teeth and the others have to bite it out and spit it in the basket for him. It’s really gross. Both teams are giving it their all. In the end, Upolu wins by only two ounces and Jeff announces they also get to take their meat back with them to eat, spit and all. Yuck!

Back at Savaii the plan to backdoor Elyse is underway. Ozzy wants Cochran out and everyone is on board with that except Jim, Dawn and Cochran. They need one more person and Jim has a serious talk with Keith who turns to Whitney. In the end, Keith and Whitney both for Dawn knowing Elyse would have the three votes to evict and we have our first blindside of the season. Ozzy is blown away and by the looks of the next episode, things will take a dramatic turn for the members of Savaii. Awesome Tribal Council. I love when the whole team doesn’t vote the same way. Makes things much more fun for us at home.

What did you think of last night’s episode? Did Savaii do the right thing in voting out Elyse?

Once again it’s all Brandon Hantz and fighting his demons on Survivor South Pacific but instead of uniting Upolu, it drives a further wedge between his tribe mates and his core alliance of five, sometimes six. He cries constantly which may show his young age as he says he let his pride get to him. He apologizes to Mikayla and then turns to Edna and apologizes for lying to her and tells her there alliance of six is really a group of five. Basically he tells her she is indespenscible to the team. Edna seems shocked and decides to work on social game which gets her no where among her group since she is completely annoying and talks way too much.

Over at Savaii, Jim, still sketchy and paranoid from marijuana withdrawal, makes a two person deal with Cochran to vote out Elyse since she and Ozzy are getting comfortable in the hammock. This of course makes Cochran happy but he is wary of Jim and compares him with a used car salesman. The two make their way to Redemption Island to watch the dual between Christine and Papa Bear. Brandon and Edna go from Upolu and Brandon once again feels the need to apologize and this time to Christine and says he has turned over a new leaf. Christine accepts his apology but claims buying what he says is another thing. She completely dominates the challenge and send Papa Bear home and returns to RI to await her next opponent.

At the reward/immunity challenge, two men and one woman will balance a pole behind their back while the rest of their tribe add weight to it. Jim and Brandon both beat Rupert’s old record of 220 lbs and each of them drop their pole at 240. You can see the pain in their eyes as they try their best to hold on. It all comes down to the two women. Dawn the forty year old for Savaii and Stacey for Upolu. I thought Stacey would easily beat Dawn but drops her pole first. Both ladies hold on at 140 lbs. I’ve got to give props to Dawn. She rocked!

Coach is giving a pep talk back at camp saying they will fight another day. Edna is scrambling because she knows she is the weakest link on the team but Stacey realizes she is not a part of the core group and reminds Coach that Edna brings nothing to the table. Stacey plants a seed of doubt to Brandon about Mikayla, Albert and Sophie and he freaks out to Coach who is getting pretty sick of him. He comes down a little hard and tells him to stop worrying and feeding off what one person says. Coach doesn’t want Brandon to mess up his game.

At tribal council, Jeff does a question/answer game asking different people what is the most annoying thing about another teammate. Mikayla calls Brandon a good kid but says it’s always in the back of her mind who his Uncle is. Brandon once again turns on the tears and says he wants to make God proud and put the Hantz name back into a positive light. I think what Brandon needs to realize that as far as Survivor goes? Russell’s name is not negative. He’s a gamer and kicked ass two out of three games. I want to shake the kid. It’s Survivor dude! Get it together and play for the million dollars. It’s not about anything else! I mean damn!

Instead of voting out the weakest member of the team which is clearly Edna, Upolu votes out Stacey and sends her to join her friend Christine at Redemption Island.

What did you think of the decision to vote out Stacey? And how do you feel lil Hantz is playing the game?

Last night on Survivor South Pacific we get more of rantings and craziness from Brandon Hantz, our first Redemption Island dual and a pretty awesome Immunity Challenge. Christine wakes up Semhar and doesn’t seem to understand why Coach wanted her gone so badly. (Maybe because you couldn’t keep your thoughts to yourself and had to run that trap on more than one occassion.) Coach and Stacy from Upolu with Ozzy and Elise from Savaii head to RI to watch their former tribe members battle it out for a chance to stay in the game. Semhar in her odd fashion has to quote some spoken word in order to prepare for the competition against Christine. In the challenge straight from Russell Hantz’s play book the two ladies put a totem on top of a pole and must balance it as they add sections to the pole to make it longer. To no ones surprise and Coach’s disgusted look, Christine easily beats Semhar and is returned to RI to await the next evicted player.

Back at Upolu Brandon is once again wrestling with demons and says God is chastising him for lying. He decides to come clean with his tribe and let them all know he is actually Russell’s nephew, a decision that leaves Coach shaking his head in bewildered wonder. Brandon says he had a relapse of what his Uncle used to do. IMO, Brandon needs to quit running from who he is and accept that he’s a Hantz and learn to live with it.

Over at Savaii, Ozzy, in Russell like fashion, can’t keep his idol a secret any longer and must tell someone. He reveals this to Keith in hopes that Keith will see the trust Ozzy has for him. This play seems to backfire when Keith runs to Whitney and tells her but makes her promise not to tell anyone else. Keith and Whitney do not like the fact that Ozzy now has all the power.

The fun begins over at Upolu when Mikayla confronts Brandon and asks why he doesn’t like her. Brandon, who is becoming dangerously close to being the biggest moron to ever play the game, has an outburst and brings in the entire tribe and asks what they all think of Mikayla. He tells everyone to keep him out of the drama. Ummmm hello Brandon?? Knock Knock. Is anyone home? YOU are the cause of the drama. Geez with this guy. Coach is once again shaking his head like WTH! LOL

The immunity/reward challenge rocks this week. One person races across a floating bridge carrying a body board attached to a long rope which the tribe feeds him as he runs. Once they get to a platform, they grab a bag and jump in the water while the rest of the tribe cranks a giant wench and pulls him back to shore. Once all five bags are back to shore, two remaining players must snag the bags with grappling hooks and bring up the bags which are puzzle banners. Ozzy and Brandon race first and Brandon easily wins as the Savaii tribe did not feed Ozzy enough rope to make it across the bridge. The teams are neck in neck but Coach proves why he is awesome when he grabs the five bags and with the help from his team gets the puzzle put together first. Upolu wins Immunity and a nice reward of coffee, tea, milk, cookies etc.

Back at Savaii the plan is to get out Papa Bear but they lie and tell him they are voting out Cochran. He realizes he is going home so searches for the individual immunity idol not knowing that Ozzy has already claimed it. He makes a fake idol in hopes of fooling everyone into keeping him. At tribal council Jeff picks on the nerdy Cochran who says he is trying to prove himself at camp and in challenges. Papa Bear pops in saying that physically Cochran is a threat to himself. He also says the five are in control and Dawn and Cochran will be the next two out. In the end, Papa Bear is sent to RI to battle it out with Christine. I hope Papa Bear can prove himself worthy and beat Christine in the next dual.

How did you feel about Brandon’s outburst and Papa Bear getting sent to join Christine on Redemption Island?

On this episode of Survivor South Pacific we have Russell Hantz screaming at his tv while he watches his nephen Brandon totally ruin the Hantz name of being one of the best gamers in Survivor history, at least for Survivor Samoa. I love how Brandon talks all the time of saving the Hantz name. He doesn’t have a clue he is making it way worse. Let’s think about how Survivor is played. You have two tribes who battle each other for the right to keep their tribe intact. When one tribe loses, you vote out a teammate. In the beginning, you want the best players around so you can come back the next week and win. You don’t vote out the strongest players first. Hence Semhar week one. In this case, you have a guy who is scared to death of being tempted by a woman named Mikayla and instead of looking at his tribe as a whole and thinking about what is the best thing to win challenges, he wants to evict her because God forbid he might have a lustful thought. I am not a fan of him. In fact, I pretty much think he’s an idiot. I haven’t seen any actions of Mikayla where she has flirted and acted in any way inappropriately. She works hard and rocks in the comps. Get over yourself Brandon and figure out your demons and get rid of them. Ok I had to get that off my chest.

I don’t know about the rest of you ladies but I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ozzy in his underwear climbing trees looking for the immunity idol. I mean this guy is sooo nice to look at lol. Not only did he take some pointers from Russell and start looking for the idol on his own but he actually found it without a clue. His tribe seems totally behind him so hopefully he can hang onto it until the merge where he will for sure need it.

I was happy to see Cochran trying harder around camp. Against his mother’s advice, he goes to town on a coconut using a machete and shares it with his tribe. His mom only wanted him using the machete under supervision. Hmmmm I don’t know if I would have shared that with the whole world but hey this is Cochran and he rocks! He’s going to change into a cool mellow guy. I don’t see that happening but you’ve got to love his passion for the game. He even earned the respect of Ozzy.

At the immunity challenge, four members of each team work together to unravel four ribbons tied to a pole which will release a key. They will then unlock four other members who will put together a large block puzzle and move the biggest piece to a platform. Savaii was way behind but come back with a vengeance and win immunity. Not only are they safe from the dreaded tribal council but they win some comfortable blankets and stuff which should help them sleep better. Upolu looks on in envy.

Back at camp Brandon starts his crap about getting rid of Mikayla while Coach tries to explain how things actually work in the game but Brandon tries to pull Christine and Stacy to his side and tells them to vote her out. No one is on board with voting her out because they all know she is needed at the moment.

At tribal Coach throws Christine and Stacy under the bus by telling Jeff he heard they were voting out Mikayla and lets it be known he is NOT down with that. Mikayla seems shocked but doesn’t say anything to them until Jeff calls her out on it. Brandon is feeling guilty and says it was his idea to vote her out while Coach just shakes his head like WTH are you thinking dude. Christine opens her big mouth once again and tells Coach his stay only temporary which seals her fate as she is sent to redemption island to hang out with Semhar. I think Christine is much tougher than little Semhar and should easily beat her in the dual next week. So my guess is we haven’t seen the last of her.

How did you feel about little Hantz tonight? Was his decision to vote out Mikayla the right move?

The premiere episode of Survivor South Pacific brings back to former all star players, Coach and Ozzy. I am so sick of bringing back former players on every reality show and with Survivor it’s every season now. With that being said the show starts with a ten minute debut of our two veterans and we find out they’re playing for redemption and Coach wants to show you can win the game with integrity. Hmmmmm. I was a little worried for Coach because his team was not impressed and obviously didn’t want him but I thought once he threw on that Coach charm and kind of took charge in building the shelter and setting up camp that he won the favor of his tribe and that was cool. Ozzy is well..Ozzy lol. His tribe, Savaii, was happy to have him. He easily beat Coach in the first challenge for flint and is a great competitor and manipulator. We’ll have to see how this plays out with them.

I absolutely LOVED John Cochran the superfan. What a nerdy Harvard geek. He’s adorable. I laughed so hard when he said his skin was translucent and didn’t want to get in the ocean in his underwear. Bless his heart. I just want to squeeze him and tell him what to do to win this game lol.

Least favorite first impression ever goes to Christine. I was calling her not so nice names that I can’t write on here throughout the entire game. I would have liked to see them lose just so she could have been the first one out. She’s almost forcing me to pull for Coach because she’s such a you know what. I didn’t like her running her mouth saying the two vets were only their temporarily and then blatently looking for the idol while everyone else was working. She is coming off as a terrible version of Russell Hantz. Speaking of Russell, did anyone know his nephew was on this season? I mean how many times are we going to have to hear about him changing the Hantz name and not being judged by his Uncle so he’s keeping who he is a big secret. I can’t take it and I hope the previews for next week are real and Coach finds out about it so we can move on.

The immunity challenge was your basic Survivor obstacle course that ends with three members of the team shooting coconuts in a basket. For Savaii we have Semhar who volunteers for this and says she’ll be great at it. We find out after two throws that she doesn’t have the strength and can’t do it. But for Upolu, Mickayla totally comes through and wins it for her team. Semhar and John become the targets at tribal council for being the weakest two and John about killed me when he asked if he had to be judged on only the six days he has been in the game and Keith (who is so cute btw) was like Yeah you do. That’s all we have to base this on. Ozzy wants to keep Semhar for reasons other than playing the game and was vetoed by the rest of the tribe because thank goodness John is safe and Semhar is sent crying to Redemption Island and will not be seen again because I don’t see her ever beating anyone in a duel.

So that’s my standouts of the night for Survivor 2011 South Pacific. What did you think? Who caught your attention in this first episode?

Let’s skip right to what you came for: Survivor winner 2011 results. It came down to Natalie, Rob, and Phillip as Jeff Probst counted out the votes.

Survivor 2011 Redemption Island Jury votes:

vote for Phillip

vote for Rob

vote for Rob

vote for Rob

vote for Rob

That’s enough votes. Boston Rob is the Survivor winner of 2011 Redemption Island. He definitely deserved it, but probably anyone who played FOUR TIMES would too!

The winner of Sprint’s $100K prize for the season’s favorite went to… Rob Mariano. He beat out Matt by just 4%! Rob won $1.1 million dollars tonight. Wow!

A bonus event for the night was David’s proposal to former Survivor castaway, Carolina Eastwood. Carolina accepted David’s proposal after telling him to “shut it down” when he left the stage and knelt before her.

Survivor 23 will bring back the Redemption Island twist but this time in the South Pacific. Also returning will be 2 unidentified, former castaways all as part of Survivor South Pacific.

The Survivor 2011 finale is closing in as we watch another elimination tonight and another round of battles at Redemption Island. Murlonio is down to just two women while it’s just Andrea in the arena. Lets see who is the next sacrifice to Boston Rob!

All of Murlonio heads to watch the do or die elimination round between Matt, Mike, Ralph, and Andrea. It’s a giant maze with a handle guided through stone paths. Ralph takes a big lead and is the first through the maze. Meanwhile, Andrea is freaking out as Ralph keeps working on part two. Mike gets through it second, Matt just behind, and Andrea finishes the maze last.

On to the second round where Ralph’s lead vanishes. I guess he’s not a puzzle guy. Mike is though because he’s done first leaving Matt, Ralph, and Andrea to fight for survival. Matt finishes his and Andrea is just behind him. Ralph is done and eliminated from Survivor Redemption Island.

At the Immunity Challenge the pressure is on for Ashley because whether she knows it or not, she’s Rob’s favorite target for this week’s elimination. This challenge isn’t going to be easy either because they’ll be assembling a fishbone puzzle with one hand tied behind their backs. Everyone has trouble using hooks they are required to use for transporting puzzle pieces across the game floor. In the end it comes down to Rob and Ashley and guess who wins… you guessed it. Ashley wins Immunity when she needed it the most.

As a bonus for winning Ashley gets to pick someone to enjoy “room service” at their campsite. No surprise here when she picks Natalie to take part in some good food.

Now it’s time to figure out who goes home. Rob goes to Phillip and says he’s voting out Grant. Then he goes to the girls and says to vote out Grant. Rob then goes to Grant and says it’s either Natalie or Phillip. Boston says it’s exhausting trying to keep all this going. It’s exhausting just keeping track of his backstabbing!

Jeff gathers the votes and brings them back to reveal tonight’s Survivor 2011 results. By a vote of 3-1, Grant is voted out. Wow. I thought Rob would want to keep his right hand man around longer than that, but we’ll see if it works out for him.

Do you still call the tribe Murlonio when it’s just Ometepe? Either way, that’s all we’ve got tonight on Survivor 2011 after Zapatera has been completely wiped out and banished to Redemption Island. Rob lets us know that he’s got just eight more days to go of keeping his teammates’ attention diverted from the truth: that they should be voting him out! Let’s see if he survives this week.

It’s time for a Sprint message from home. Both the Murlonio castaways and the Redemption Island “warriors” found a cell phone with videos from their family. Everyone gathers around and enjoys the recorded videos for one another. They’re anxious for a chance to win some time with their family.

Redemption Island has its first four-way duel and Jeff reveals that the winner will get some one on one time with someone from home while the next two stay in the game and the last person is eliminated. The challenge is to break tiles with a hard ball similar to an Immunity challenge earlier in the season. Mike takes the early lead while Steve falls behind. Mike wins the visit from family by getting all four of his tiles first. Matt and Ralph follow shortly behind but Steve fails and is cut from the game.

The pressure is on Mike because he has a choice. 1) take the time with his mom. 2) give that time to Ralph and Matt. 3) give that time to the remaining six Ometepe/Murlonio. Amazingly Mike cites Jesus’ instructions to love your brother and so he gives the most to the most people. Jeff is really surprised by the choice, but Mike’s mom is not. She’s proud of Mike’s choice and waves goodbye. Murlonio heads back to their camp with their loved ones.

It’s time for the Survivor Immunity Challenge. The castaways must fit stair puzzle pieces up and down a very, very tall staircase. This looks like it’s going to be brutal. They can only bring one plank at a time so no bundling, guessing, and testing. Lots of running up and down making me tired just watching it! Jeff lets us know that it was 110 degrees that day. Half-way through it’s a tight race between Rob, Andrea, and Grant. No big surprise there! In the end it’s Rob who wins with Grant literally just a few steps behind him. So close!

I can’t tell if Rob is faking or not but he puts on a big show about his exhaustion after completing the challenge. He asks for everyone to come help him stand up and move around. Do you think it was just drama or real?

Heading in to the Tribal vote it looks to be either Phillip or Andrea going home. Andrea is targeted for being a real competitor while Phillip is just plain annoying. We get to see the clip of Rob saying something about thirty-two days work out the window and we find out that CBS chopped it up to make it sound that way. Rob was just talking about possibilities. Nice, CBS.

Jeff retrieves the vote bucket and pulls them out one at a time. When the second vote against Andrea comes out she has her “OMG” moment when she realizes what’s about to happen. Sure enough, Andrea is voted out and sent to Survivor Redemption Island.

Did Murlonio make the right choice this week with Andrea’s elimination?
