Survivor 2012: Catch One World Preview on TV Guide Channel

If you need a fix before the Survivor One World premiere Feb. 16, then you can thank the TV Guide Channel because they’re put together a one-hour preview of the upcoming season. The special premieres Sunday at 9 pm ET.

You can expect to get a rundown of the season and the castaways by host Jeff Probst and also get sneak peek at the first challenge.

If you miss this Sunday’s airing, the TV Guide Channel is reairing it four other times: Sunday/Monday, Jan. 30 at midnight and 9 p.m.; Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m.; and Saturday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m.

If you can’t catch the TV Guide Special, you can meet the Survivor 2012 cast.

Survivor One World Cast Confirmed

Survivor One World cast confirmed today by CBS as the latest castaways have been profiled and announced. We had already heard the Survivor spoilers on the cast leak rumors and it looks like things were pretty accurate. Read on to find out who will be battling it out come February 15th on Survivor 2012.

Survivor 2012: There will be no Redemption Island

Survivor One World will not feature Redemption Island, according to a CBS teaser promo. This is good news which matches up with the leaks and rumors we heard at the end of the last season.

Redemption Island has been used during the past two seasons and was not popular among many viewers. So I’m sure a lot of people will be happy with this news. Are you glad to hear the rerun arena is no more on Survivor One World?

Survivor 2012 – 2013 Casting Open Calls

The deadline for Survivor‘s online casting submissions have come and gone (January 10, 2012), but if you didn’t make it in time or just aren’t that tech savvy, you might have the option for another shot with an open casting call.

So far, there’s only one open call scheduled and that’s for Feb. 2 at KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, but you can keep an eye on the open call schedule at the Survivor casting website.

According to the website, if you’ve applied for the show and haven’t heard anything by Feb. 29, you probably didn’t make the cut. And keep in mind, this casting is for the next two seasons following the upcoming Survivor One World.

So if you’ve got what it takes for the second round of Survivor 2012 and even the first installment of Survivor 2013, then hit the road for Las Vegas. Good luck!

Survivor One World Confirmed For Survivor 2012

Last night during the South Pacific season finale host Jeff Probst revealed the next season would be called Survivor One World. We previously reported this One World rumor two months ago and shared the details we had then. Turns out those were all accurate. Let’s review what we know so far for next season.

The Survivor 2012 season will feature the usual two tribes, but the difference will be how the tribes live. They’ll be sharing one beach and have the opportunity to share resources as well. Or, as is more likely, one tribe will be able to leave the other behind and watch them go hungry or without shelter. While not confirmed in the video below, it’s also rumored that the tribes will be split by sex.

As far as recent trends, there will be no Redemption Island this time around. Perhaps best of all: no returning castaways either. This cast will be all new.

Based on the video below the tribe names are Salani and Manono.

Survivor One World returns to its frequented stomping ground of Samoa in the South Pacific to film the 24th season. The new season will premiere on February 15, 2012 so get ready for more Survivor spoilers and join us on Facebook!

Survivor South Pacific Finale Results

It’s time to find out who won Survivor South Pacific. The season wraps up tonight and I’ll be posting the results live right here as the show airs.

Before we get to the final vote count for the million dollar prize there’s still more Redemption Island, immunity challenges, and tribal councils to get through. Settle in or jump ahead and read our Survivor spoilers to see who makes it to the end.

Update: 60 Minutes is running late due to football earlier, but I’ll update as soon as things get rolling. CBS says that will be at approximately 8:35PM.

Update 2: Survivor South Pacific has started up. I’ll post results live.

The finale Redemption Island duel pitted Ozzy against Brandon. Both castaways had to hold on to a pole where the last man standing (or holding) would win the battle. While Ozzy shifted around a lot Brandon finally lost out when gravity took over. Ozzy earned his return to the game.

Immunity was up for grabs when Ozzy, Coach, Albert, Sophie, and Rick entered the next challenge. Castaways had to build a house of cards of sorts using small wooden tiles. Sophie is making great progress until she runs out of tiles and has to backtrack. Ozzy faces the same challenge next and has to undo his work. There’s an entertaining exchange between Sophie and Albert where she tells him to quit trying and come pick up her dropped tiles (Jeff won’t let him). In the end, just as the spoilers told us, Ozzy won immunity.

Tribal Council was heated, just as you’d expect. Coach had his immunity idol and Ozzy had his immunity necklace. Neither of them were going anywhere. When the votes were revealed it was close, but no surprise. By a vote of 3-2, Rick was the next Upolu member voted out while Sophie barely survived.

The second immunity challenge was a doozy. An obstacle course of climbing nets, swinging over bridges, and tunneling lead the remaining castaways to a puzzle. Ozzy started off with a massive lead but it quickly dissolved as the last player to the puzzle, Sophie, pulled out an incredible upset. Sophie won immunity. Looks like the end of the road for Ozzy.

At the next Tribal Council Ozzy again suggested to Coach that he split the votes and force a duel between Albert and Ozzy where the first to make fire would move on. Coach didn’t take the bait. Ozzy was voted out to become the last jury member of Survivor South Pacific.

The final Tribal Council of the night featured Coach, Albert, and Sophie as they attempted to pursuade the nine jury members. There’s no easy way to sum up all the comments, but Ozzy does a good job when he tells the Final 3 that no one on the jury wants to vote for any of them.

The jury goes to vote and during that phase we learn Cochran votes for Coach and praises his efforts. Dawn throws her support to Sophie. No early-reveal votes for Albert. Let’s see what Jeff reveals during the live portion of the show.

Jeff congratulates Albert, Coach, and Sophie on making it to the end. The votes are revealed one by one and we quickly learn that this is a race between Sophie and Coach as no votes for Albert are pulled from the bucket. But there can be only one and this season it’s Sophie. She defeats Coach in the end and becomes the winner of Survivor South Pacific. Congratulations to Sophie Clarke on her big win.

The fun didn’t end there though. Later during the Reunion portion of the show Jeff Probst revealed that Ozzy won the Viewer’s Choice award and the $100,000 prize. Cochran came in second place and it wasn’t even close as this was the widest margin in Survivor history. Congratulations to Ozzy on his consolation prize.

In closing, Jeff Probst reveals next season will be called Survivor One World just as we reported a few months back. I’ll have more details and video posted on Monday.

Survivor South Pacific Finale Tonight

Tonight we’ll finally find out who won Survivor South Pacific and who falls short of the jury votes. Brandon was last seen being sent packing and will face off against Ozzy in the Redemption Island arena. From there the winner will return to the game for one more chance at the money.

The two-hour finale show will then continue with three tribal councils, immunity challenges, backstabbing, dragon slaying, and everything else you’d expect from this season of Survivor.

Survivor Spoilers: South Pacific Finale

We’re down to the wire on Survivor South Pacific as the finale episode approaches on Sunday night. You didn’t think we were going to leave you hanging for your Survivor spoilers, did you? As always, stop reading now and skip this post if you want to keep Sunday night’s big Survivor finale a surprise. Otherwise, carry on for the alleged spoilers to see who makes it to the final 3.

Brandon made his big mistake of handing over his immunity idol last week and now will have to face off against Ozzy. How do you think that goes? Yep. Brandon is defeated by Ozzy and sent on to the jury.

Ozzy returns to the game after surviving Redemption Island for the second time. Once he’s back he secures his safety with the immunity challenge. That means a member of Upolu is forced to be eliminated and that honor goes to… Rick.

Once we’re down to a final four all that remains is Coach, Albert, Sophie, and Ozzy. It’s do or die for Ozzy as he’ll never survive a tribal vote. Unfortunately, it’s die for Ozzy. Sophie wins the final immunity and Upolu eliminates the great competitor.

Who will become the sole survivor and win a million dollars? We’ll find out Sunday night when the two-hour South Pacific finale airs at 8PM ET/PT. We’ll be posting all the results live as they happen.

Survivor South Pacific: Edna Arrives At Ponderosa
