Russell should have won, actually he did win, in the hearts of all his fans. It was a game of "survival" Not a game of who had the best personality or who was the most honest. He was the only one that played the game. The ones that votes against him were just p*****d that he was better than any of them. Eric is the biggest cry baby I have ever seen. Worse than my 2 yr old.

This is my second "Full season" of Survivor and my first time online so I have been learning the old fashioned way about the "game"... by watching it on tv...here is my question..
What are the rules of the game? in order to answer the question put forth here about whether good will prevail (as it did on BB GO JORDAN & JEFF lol) I need to know what is allowed/expected of the castaways. Personally I would think that what Russel did by burning Jaison's socks would have been tantamount to someone destroying/stealing one of the HG's personal things on BB and being expelled. but it seemed that it was ok with the Survivor "police" that he not only spilled/drank his entire tribe's water but that he burned private property. So my answer would be that I dont think good stands a chance as much as I would like to see it win. I believe that in the case of a game such as this there has to be a certain ammount of lying to survive but not so much that you actually backstab. Am I wrong but didnt last season's winner pretty much stay on the side of good for hte most part? Final 2 seemed like they were trying their best to be good (unlike Coach.. and speaking of coach, when russel started telling his Katrina lie did anyone besides me think of coach? my first thought was great Russel's been here one night and he's already telling his version of Coach's "I've faced down death 20x (or whatever #) in my life and this is nothing"

I believe in 100% honesty in LIFE but I think in order to survive (every pun intended) on this game where the motto is to outwit, outplay, outlast (right?) you have to misrepresent the truth a little but you can do so without hurting others & If I am not mistaken you arent supposed to wear down your own tribe especially the way russel is doing it. It really bugged me that he destroyed property and took their water. I just hope Karma gets him in his sorry lying butt!

As for him getting booted off soon.. I'd like him to suffer first.. like maybe exile island (Do they go alone or in pairs this season?) and I Hope he cant find food or start his own fire. then after actually sufferring a bit I hope his "dumb A$$ girl alliance" has figured him out and prove themselves to be smart enough to use him/ abuse him/ and throw him out when they have no further use.

ok now I think my lack of sleep is showing and perhaps you all will like me better if I stop posting for the night.. :) I'll sum this post up with saying my answer is as follows...
I dont think evil needs to happen to win but I also dont think you can be 100 good to win either. On BB J&J were both about as good as it gets and yet they had to play the "game" a little. they just did it without being "A$$"es about it. But thats just the opinion of a sleep deprived old woman who is one step away from being a survivor/BB virgin. (Survivor has been on 19 yrs??? WOW I knew that but it didnt sink in until I read how someone's kids are in college who were in PeeWee league when it started. I dont know why I am soo behind on this reality band wagon. I have just recently started watching some of the other shows way after they first aired.
See ya soon
UNI
PS. please forgive typos..first time in a long time using a full size keyboard and with this laptop everything is shifted left b/c he got me one with the 10key on it so even my trackpad shifted and am getting used to it (its also a wide screen so everything seems off to me)PLUS dont forget for at least 2 yrs now I have been using my blackberry and before that an LG ENvy cell phone to do all my emails/txts and what little online stuff I wanted to do. so its almost like I havent used a full size keyboard before (the odd thing is I used to live on the computer.. am actually a graphic designer.. luckily its like riding a bike and I am getting back in the swing of things!)

The first few days are the most important. The castaways must form alliances now that will take them through the entire game. The players that can read people the best have the advantage because they can figure out who will be faithful in such alliances and who is there just to use them.

I don't expect this season to be much different than the previous seasons. I believe there are four categories.

1) Castaways, like Jaison, who go into the game with good intentions, but realize that he/she may "have to" lie and backstab in order to advance...

2) Those, like Russel H., whose "strategy" is to lie, backstab, and do whatever he/she deems necessary to advance...

3) Those who purposely lay low or "floaters" who align themselves with the strong as a means of protection and survival, and...

4) Those who just don't have a clue period.

I don't care how good, moral, and honest a person is, they will not win w/out directly or indirectly using manipulation, lies and/or backstabbing. In the real world, we can choose the company we keep, but in survivor "what you see may not be what you get". The best person may have to lie, etc. at one time or another as defense mechanism...The intent and means is much more indicative of a persons character than the the actual act.

I think most of them will try to avoid lying until they get into the position where they have to...it becomes necessary after a while.
Just please dont let them lie just for kicks or out of meanness...seen enough of that!
