Survivor 2010: All Hail To The Mighty Idol(s)

Update:  Russell Hantz arrested details at Reality Rewind

JT was played big time by Russell on this episode of Survivor 2010.  He had JT eating out of his hand and even when Sandra tried to tell Rupert the truth, the whole heroes tribe with the exception of Rupert still believe the little troll.

The teams merge tonight and the Villains are given a map to the Heroe’s camp.  The Heroe’s receive a locked trunk and Villains receive the key so when they merge the trunk is opened and we get the new black buffs and a lot of food.  Food is going to be an issue because the Heroe’s don’t like the Villains eating so much but the Villains don’t really care as we find out later at the TC.

Parvati is basically ostracized when they arrive at camp.  She knows the Heroes want her gone so she sticks to herself and lets Russell finagle all the deals.  She does take a couple of walks with Amanda and Parvati tells her she has an idol.  Not sure why she does this, maybe to test Amanda and to get the heat off herself?  On their second chat Amanda tells her she needs to play the idol at TC and Parvati can tell she is lying.

Sandra gets a moment alone with Rupert and tries to tell him that Rupert that Russell is the kingpin but her strategy doesn’t work and she realizes she needs to work with Russ this week to get out JT.  Smart move on her part to wait.  The Heroes come up with a plan to tell Russ to vote out Parvati while they all vote out either Sandra or Jerri.  They want to test his loyalty.  Unfortunately their plan doesn’t work out too well.

At the immunity challenge which is everyone hanging onto poles until the fall off, Colby and Sandra are down in less than a minute followed by Russ then Rupert.  Amanda and JT step down next with JT right behind.  Candice decides to get out on her own even though she could stay up a while and Jeff questions why she does this.  I don’t understand why Candice does this.  Doesn’t she know it will make things harder on the Villains if one of them doesn’t win immunity?  Now it comes down to Danielle and Parvati and Danielle tells her that she wants the necklace because Parv has the idol.  Parv drops and Danielle wins individual immunity.

At Tribal Council Rupert says that camp life has been an adjustment.  They all get in a little tiff over bananas.  Rupert wants them to wait until there ripe to eat them.  Gnome lets it be known that there are still two tribes.  I almost wish we could have seen a tie tonight.  That would have been fun.  After the vote, Parv takes out her idol and hands it to Sandra.  The heroes are snickering because they all voted for Jerri oh but hold your laughter, she then takes out another idol and hands it off to Jerri.  With all the Villains voting for JT, he becomes the third member of the jury.

Russ looks at Parv and says, “You’ve got some explaining to do.”  Things don’t look good Russ next week.  Parv gains control over him and Sandra hooks up with the Heroes.  How in the world does she save herself from getting the boot?  This chick has 9 lives.
