Survivor 2010: Episode 9 Recap

Survivor 2010 begins with Sandra giving herself props for voting Coach out.  I guess she is due for one especally after such an obvious move as that.  Jerri however was blindsided and is worried she is next but is reassured she is not.

For the reward challenge the tribes have to label from strongest to weakest and that is who they will be paired against from the other side.  Russell is going to sit out.  The challenge is bracing yourself between two walls with your forearms while standing on a small foothold.  After ten minutes you move down a step until the last one which is only a 1/4 inch wide where you stay as long as you can.  The Villain women sweep it across the board and they will now enjoy a dinner and drinks from Outback Steakhouse.  It looks like they are starting with a wallabe darned.  I love those!  And then move on to the salad where Parvati finds a clue to the HII hidden in her napkin.  She only tells Danielle about it and they go searching for it and find it all behind Russell’s back.  Parvati says she’ll tell Russ what he needs to know and right now he doesn’t need to know.  She says Russ is not the king of Survivor but she is the queen and even the king does what the queen tells him to do.  Sounds like Parv may be running things more than we think.   

The Heroes are back at camp and JT comes up with the plan to pass off his HII to Russell with a note telling him to vote off Parvati.  The entire tribe goes along with the idea but Amanda does seem a little skeptical.  If JT had read the situation right it would have gone down as the best move in survivor history but not having seen Russ’s gameplay JT falls right into his hands. 

At the immunity challenge Sandra sits out for the Villains.  Each member stands on a platform in the water, when Jeff says go a member from each tribe races with a bag of puzzle pieces along a rope and go over and under obstaclesinthe water.  When all five bags are at the start, they will make a totem pole and the first to complete it wins immunity.  The Heroes easily defeat the Villains.  Colby and Russ are the last two on the platform and Colby asks Russ if he is going home next.  Russ says yes and Colby lets him know JT has something for him to use at TC and to get rid of Parvati.  Russ is about as happy as a freaking clam.  He can’t believe they are going to hand him an idol.  He said I don’t even have to search for the idols, people just hand them to me.  The whole time I’m thinking please don’t tell anyone Russ.  Keep this to yourself.

Russ runs to Parv with the note and they get a good laugh at JT’s expense.  Russ is a complete fool for telling Parvati and Danielle about the idol.  I don’t know why he has such a big mouth and can’t keep anything to himself.

At TC, Courtney is voted out and even Sandra wrote her name down.  Hmmm.
