We are back again for our Survivor 2018 player rankings. It’s week 8, and we are well into the merge, so people are starting to play a little differently. That means the rankings are going to be shifting really soon.
As always, these are just our rankings, and are likely different from yours. So feel free to kindly share with us how you would rank them. We base our rankings on gameplay so far, any powers they might have, their social game and how much danger they have been in so far. Let’s take a look.
1. Christian Hubicki. Christian keeps hold of the top spot, mostly because of last week he was actually being tossed around as an option to vote out, but too many people wanted to keep him. That’s impressive. Whether or not that holds true again this week is yet to be seen. But for now, he’s still No. 1 in my opinion.
2. John Hennigan. John holds on to the No. 2 spot because he is the one who can actually bring Christian down if that’s what he chooses. He, like Christian, has made a lot of relationships (including Christian), but since he’s in the majority alliance, he can help with Christian’s demise – again, if that’s what he chooses.
3. Angelina Keeley. After the way Angelina has played the past couple of weeks, she has proven that she definitely has her hands on the pulse of the game. I do think her days are numbered, but that’s not what these rankings are about. So that being said, I think she has definitely been playing one of the stronger games and that earns her the No. 3 spot this week.
4. Davie Rickbacker. Davie is still ranking high because he has his hidden immunity idol. As soon as he feels at risk, he can easily save himself. And he has only had a problem with Elizabeth, so now that she’s gone he’s not really on anyone’s radar.
5. Dan Rengering. Dan jumps up a couple of spots because of his two idols and him being in the majority alliance. He still plays a pretty sloppy game, and I don’t see him jumping any higher than this, but for now, he comes in at the Top 5.
6. Gabby Pascuzzi. Gabby slips a spot and out of the Top 5 because she just cries too much and her move at Tribal Council last week was just too out there. I think it really made the target on her grow, so that was pretty bad gameplay.
7. Alec Merlino. Alec slips a bit because he has caused a lot of suspicion among his allies. He does seem to still be positioned well, but there are people who trust him a lot less after they found out how he voted before the merge.
8. Nick Wilson. Nick did himself no favors before the merge, so he keeps hanging out here closer to the bottom. He seems to be well-liked, but I think he might be in danger sooner rather than later.
9. Alison Raybould. Alison jumps the highest this week because she won the first individual immunity challenge last week.
10. Mike White. Mike lingers here because he is just kind of there at the moment and is right around the middle and isn’t really making any moves. If he decides what side he’s on, he might be able to jump up in the rankings.
11. Carl Boudreaux. Carl is lingering around this spot because he’s not been very important to the game YET. He has the idol nullifier, and that’s a powerful tool, but whether or not he uses it wisely is yet to be seen.
12. Kara Kay. Kara isn’t playing a bad game, she just hasn’t shined as much as the others. And now that she has Dan back in the game, she will likely be looked at as a pair again and that’s not good for anyone’s game.
