Survivor 2018: David Vs. Goliath Week 04 Gallery [Pics]

Last night’s episode of Survivor 2018 was intense. We had a self-elimination, a tribe swap, giving us three tribes instead of two, a nail-biting immunity challenge, the introduction of the idol nullifier and a crazy-dramatic Tribal Council.

At the top of the show, Jeff Probst welcomes the 17 remaining castaways back to the beach to let everyone know that Bi decided to remove herself from the game because of her injury. Jeff took this opportunity to further that David vs. Goliath narrative and then told the now-16 remaining castaways to drop their buffs for a tribe swap. The new Survivor 37 tribes looked like this:

Jabeni (Purple): Natalie, Mike, Lyrsa, Nick, Angelina

Vuku (Orange): Kara, Natalia, Alec, Davie, Elizabeth

Tiva (Green): Dan, Gabby, Christian, John, Allison

Carl didn’t draw a buff, so he is sent to Exile Island until tribal council. He’ll then replace the person voted out. Then at the first immunity challenge since the swap, the green and purple teams win immunity, sending the orange group to Tribal. It should also be mentioned that Carl found the idol nullifier while on Exile Island. He can use this once at any trial council before the vote. It’s not a huge power as you have to assume someone has the idol and they’re going to use it or else you’ll waste it.

Finally, at tribal council, things played out much differently than everyone first thought they would. The original Goliaths had the majority and were sure to eliminate a David (Davie or Elizabeth) since another original David (Carl) would be joining them. But Natalia sunk her own ship and was completely blindsided after an intense tribal council that including whispering and a lot of who-cares gameplay. So Natalia left the island and Carl joined the orange tribe, technically giving the original Davids the majority over Alec and Kara.
