We are heading into Week 6 of Survivor 2019, so it’s time to take a look at the Player Rankings after Week 5.
The Survivor Island of the Idols castaways faced a tribe swap this past week, and while the Vokai tribe was stacked evenly, the new Liaro was a bit lopsided, leaving Dean, Karishma and Tom in the minority. Of course, at the end of the week Tom was the one voted out, proving that the uneven swap had an impact.
Let’s take a look at how the players stack up following the swap.
1. Missy Bird. Missy swapped tribes, but she’s shown she’s still playing one of the best games this season. So she holds onto the No. 1 spot again this week, just for a different tribe.
2. Aaron Meredith. Aaron keeps his No. 2 spot as well, because he’s become very valuable to his tribe, and he has already made a bond with Tommy who he didn’t even know until the swap.
3. Tommy Sheehan. Tommy keeps the third spot because he continues to be a powerful player in competitions and is playing a pretty solid social game as well. He paired up with Aaron, which definitely gives him an edge over the other three players from his former tribe that joined him on this new one.
4. Lauren Beck. Lauren slips a bit, just because of circumstance. But she is still playing hard, and I think we’ll see her climb back up the list soon.
5. Jason Linden. I’m impressed with how much Jason has turned his game around. And he will be seen as less of a threat at merge when the more typical alpha males become the targets.
6. Elaine Stott. Elaine’s personality and social game resurfaced this week when she had to turn it back on to impress her new tribunates.
7. Elizabeth Beisel. Elizabeth hasn’t had any terrible moments since the fire making fail, but she also hasn’t given me any reason to rank her higher.
8. Dan Spilo. Like Elizabeth, Dan just hasn’t shown us much. He’s playing a fine game, and will definitely be more of a focus post-merge I bet.
1. Kellee Kim. New tribe, same ranking. Kellee holds onto the top spot because she’s playing the best game out of anyone. And her Idol she earned from Rob and Sandra give her that extra amount of power.
2. Jamal Shipman. Jamal is a messy player, but it’s working so far. And his hidden immunity idol has given him an edge over those ranked below him.
3. Jack Nitching. Jack’s rankings rise since he’s technically in a majority now, even though most players claim they are ignoring their past tribal commitments.
4. Janet Carbon. Like Jack, Janet is in the majority, so that gives her a bit of an edge this week. And also, she calling Dean out at Tribal Council was a lot of fun.
5. Noura Salman. I can’t believe Noura isn’t last, but she’s managed to be in the majority and her performance during the reward challenge was impressive.
6. Dean Kowalski. Dean is in a terrible position, but I think the fact that he survived this week and that they will need him in challenges, definitely will be a good thing for him.
7. Karishma Patel. Even though she keeps avoiding elimination, she still has to hold up this very bottom spot. She’s ranked 7th in her tribe, but I’m ranking her 15th overall. She’s just worthless in competitions and her social game is questionable. So at this rate, she’s probably going to be dragged to then end so she can be easily beaten.
