Survivor 2018 was back again Wednesday night! This time around, the Naviti tribe tried to keep their streak alive, while Malolo worked to avoid another trip to Tribal Council after last week’s dramatic showdown.
Now it’s time to find out which tribes pulled off the wins tonight and who was the fifth castaway voted off Survivor 2018!
First up, we get to see the fallout from Malolo’s trip to Tribal Council that saw Brendan’s torch snuffed and Michael’s immunity idol spent.
And it’s time for the reward challenge! And the two tribes will be playing for coffee and pastries. That’s a simple reward, but on the island, that is a definite treat. Malolo takes the first lead of the challenge, but Naviti catches up right away and then steals the lead. It’s Chris vs. Sebastian and Chris killed the last half of the challenge. Sebastian didn’t stand a chance. Naviti wins reward! They continue their streak.
Since Naviti won the challenge, they get to decide who they are sending to Ghost Island. And once again, they opt for rocks. Stephanie draws the white rock and heads off to Ghost Island for the shot to play a game of chance.
After she gets to Ghost Island, she smashes an urn and gets the “Nope, Not Today” message. Why are there so many of those? What’s the point of Ghost Island if nothing is going to happen more often.
Stephanie returns from Ghost Island and Jeff explains the challenge to the castaways. It’s Chelsea and Wendell up first and Naviti, of course takes the lead right away. And then Libby almost blows the lead until Desiree fumbles, making the game neck and neck.
Naviti regains the lead and they get to work on the combination lock portion. Malolo finally catches up and is starting to gain on Naviti during the puzzle part of the competition.
But they can’t beat Naviti’s streak as Naviti wins immunity once again! Malolo is devastated and will be heading back to Tribal Council.
It’s basically Michael, Jenna or Stephanie. Or can one of them pull out a trick? Each of the three made their pitches to different members of the tribe, so who will it be? It sounds like Michael was the definite, but don’t they need him for challenges? And he uses that pitch during tribal. That’s was a good move for Michael. So maybe it’ll be Stephanie? It seems like Jenna is the one most likely to be safe.
