Survivor South Pacific: Ozzy the master strategist or just plain stupid?

Two tribes will come together soon for the merge in Survivor South Pacific but will it be sooner rather than later?  That is the big question on all Survivor fans minds today after watching Ozzy make what could be the worst move in Survivor history or the boldest.  Let’s break this down. 

Let’s assume the merge will come next like Savaii is hoping, what is to guarantee Ozzy will beat Christine in the upcoming dual?  Nothing.  She rocks at these challenges.  She was the first one voted off and is still hanging in there and she beat Mikayla, let’s not forget that. 

Another thing, Christine hates her tribe, so why not send Cochran over to fight it out, Christine beats him and joins the others at the merge where she is welcomed with open arms into the Savaii circle.  She is most definitely a force and could be used on the weakened tribe. 

This strategy doesn’t enter the mind of the great Ozzy however.  It seems to me that he is looking for some kind of heroic welcome for choosing to get sent to Redemption Island. Not only does he hand Cochran a life line but he also gives him the idol.  What if the merge isn’t next and Savaii loses another Immunity Challenge?  The team will want Cochran out and he would be crazy not to use the idol on himself and send one of the stronger players to face Ozzy or Christine in yet another dual.  So that would put the team down by two.  I hate to say it but I am hoping Christine will pull off the win here and send Ozzy home. 

I just don’t like this strategy and with a million dollars at stake you NEVER ask to get voted out.  NEVER!!!  I am frustrated with this whole line of thinking.

Over at Upolu things are looking up.  Way up into the sky as the group prays and prays for divine intervention for one, finding the idol Coach already has and two for winning the Immunity Challenge.  This warms Brandon’s heart as he really thinks God had a part in finding the HII and once the challenge is over and Coach forces the team to their knees for another group prayer they get to enjoy a movie with all the snacks and drinks they can eat.  The tribe seems rather united at this point.  Perhaps Coach is doing the right thing by his group. 

One thing is for certain. You would never see him ask to go to RI to face Christine lol.  So here’s hoping the third time is the charm for our Tai Chi expert.  Coach for the win.  Let’s hope he keeps his strategy in tact and leaves the stupidity in the sand or with Ozzy whichever works best for him.
