Jeff Probst promised us (warned us?) before that Survivor would get stuck on this retread theme of bringing back past castaways to overshadow new castaways. Yah! (No, not Yah!) Sure enough, they’re doing it again and this time it’s the Blood Vs Water theme all over.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly Jeff confirmed that this season’s theme of pitting loved ones against each other would get a redo with some tweaks and fixes to improve the game play. No specifics on just what those changes would be, but share your thoughts on what could make it better. For me I just want a straight up season of Survivor. Call me crazy.
The return of Blood Vs Water won’t happen next season (S28) since that’s already filmed and will air in the spring, but Jeff says to anticipate it returning for S29 or S30 which will film next year.
Sigh. Is there any chance they could do a BvW without including returning players? I’d be surprised especially considering their recent streak of vets in the mix.
Maybe I’m in the minority. Do you like the recycling of players or would you prefer an all new cast?
