SURVIVOR SAMOA: AIGA HAS EMERGED
We have a new tribe and it is called Aiga!
It was nice to see the tribes come together and share a wonderful meal and have a few drinks together. Foa Foa was absolutely ecstatic. They were waiting on that and it was a good reward for them to finally have a moment of peace. Of course this feeling was short lived when they arrived at the Galu camp and began to feel like fish out of water. There is going to be so much us vs. them and from the looks of things, Galu isn’t ready to accept any of the members of Foa Foa just yet.
What was Russ thinking?
I am definitely disappointed in Russ. I can’t believe he showed everyone the immunity idol, especially Laura whom I don’t care for at all. Now he played his idol when he didn’t need to and it is gone. It looks like he will be a target next week so the “king” might be dethroned. I was pleased to see he and Shambo strike up a partnership and for some reason I knew they would bond instantly but then she played tee ball and I lost all respect for her. She looks like she should have been able to nail that ball but she totally bombed. I do not believe I will ever understand Russ’s strategy in this game. It was easy to manipulate the members of Foa Foa because they lost so many challenges that they needed him, but Galu isn’t taking to kindly to him and his manipulation tactics. He may have serious trouble making it to the final 3.
Erik the Manipulator?
Erik thought he had it all in the bag, running his mouth about evicting Monica and then being a total jerk in the tribal council. He did manage to scare Russ into using the idol but that was just a bonehead move on Russ’s part. I was so happy to see him leave and was thrilled to see Jaison vindicated. Did yall see the look on Shambo’s face? It was priceless! She was absolutely shocked and I was proud that the other tribemates were able to keep it from her. I thought with Erik gone that maybe the former tribes of Galu and Foa Foa could come together and strike up some new alliances but it looks like next week, Galu will stick closer then ever. At least that is what I took from the previews. What did everyone think about the show? Did it live up to the hype? Will next week be the end of King Russell? Share your thoughts. I think the tribe is called Aiga but great blog. After listening to pompous Eric I was so glad to see him voted out 10-2. Shambo voting by her self doesn’t indicate that she will be around very long. If Russell wins immunity next week Shambo would be the natural choice. She is however completely worthless at everything that she does and might not be deemed much of a threat. I wonder why she is not in the military any more. She probably lost her gun or invaded France by herself or something. She calls herself Shambo..like Rambo…that is like nicknaming a fat guy Tiny.

The Worminator got spooked and played his immunity idol. Good move by Galu to flush it out; poor move by him showing it to so many people, both before and after the merge. I thought part of the strategy of having an immunity idol was to keep it secret so nobody knows. Of course, that scenario didn’t play out too well for Erik, as he got blindsided by the tribe 10-2, with only Shambo and him voting for Jaison. Guess that puts Shambo the odd one out.
If the 4 Foas stick together and vote as a block, they could have some power, but have to pull a couple more with them. Let’s see…Shambo, but who else? Guess the Worminator will have to work some more zombie dumass blonde tricks to get it done.
A lot will depend on what the immunity challenge is. I doubt they will have double immunity again, so it’s every man, and woman, for themselves. From what Dave said this week about a “turkey shoot”, and the previews of next week, Foas may be in hot water.

I can’t really blame him for not trusting the vote. Look at Eric, assuming he knew what was going down. If the vote had been 10-2 against Russell he would have looked like a genius. If they are voting him out next week they can just tell him to his face that he is gone. I hope he wins the immunity idol just to keep the show interesting.

Hey hey people! It’s been awhile…and I’m here to take my medicine and admit how wrong I was, and how right Ashley was!!
Well Ashley…here I am girl! Admitting that I was wrong…and you were RIGHT! Great job!! And btw, great blog again today…You’re really in the zone here…keep it up!
However, I did say if he did make it to the merge, he would be gone shortly after and after his move last night, I’m more sure than ever, he will be gone soon unless he wins immunity, so yeah…sorry Ashley, I don’t see him in the final 3 or even 4…
But ya know what? This is YOUR thing, and I was wrong about Russell before, so I very well could be again…I just don’t see him around too long…he blew his wad…got too anxious, played too hard, etc…I thought it would cost him originally(that gameplay style)…..little did I know that stupid tribe would go on a downward spiral in challenges, forcing them to get rid of weaker players as opposed to the bigger threats in the game overall……geez with that!!
LOL …So yes, Russell could be gone very shortly people…as always in the game, some other situation(fight, arguements, etc) could happen or he could go on an “immunity” run…but we’re gonna see just how good Russell is now…I mean I give him credit so far, I like him more than I did at the beginning…but he’s still got that cocky jackass thing going on, and I just can’t get into it!!
I know I’m in the minority on this one…but as always, I go with what I like or don’t like(as everyone does) and now that he won’t be able to play his game, rather the game that he’s faced with, we’re gonna see if he’s a true gamer or not! It won’t be easy for him from this point on! I’ll take my hat off to him each week he survives but I’ll look forward to seeing him voted out!

Hey Killer! Good to see you again! I’m hoping Russ wins immunity next week and saves himself. I just like to see his strategy even though last night he failed miserably but that was also good to see for a change. I’m going to have to agree with Jeff and say that by cbs showing previews of everyone turning against Russ that maybe he will save himself and not get evicted yet. You may be right and he may leave very soon but I do enjoy hearing his rantings and he does make the show interesting. There is no one else who has stepped up in such a strategic way yet and we still have seen nothing of Brett. The show should get better and better each week and I wish it was on at least twice.

Hi everyone! I’ve got the flu …yeah, the dreaded H1N1 …but I’m feeling a little better this morning. Basically been knocked flat in bed for 2 days. I never get sick so I suck at it. Of course, it didn’t stop me watching Survivor!
Wow. What a night. Erik totally deserved his demise. What a blindside! The dude looked totally gobsmacked! I loved the look on Jaison’s face when Erik was doing his rant. I was shocked when Russell showed the idol to so many people, I hope he doesn’t get axed next week. He’s too interesting and adds something to the show, unlike some of those milksops. Shambo is a total enigma. She lives in LA LA land somewhere. She’s the kid who gets picked last for everything and doesn’t understand why. I really, really dislike Laura! Smug, know-it-all, annoying. I’d love to see her go next.

Hi folks… Finally made it over here from the BB11 blog… Loved last night’s episode.. the editing was so crazy we had no idea who was getting axed!!
While Russell has grown on me, he really needs to go as this truely has become the Russell show and I’m getting tired of him…

What about that blond on Galu.. don’t even know her name, but she was gorgeous!! It’s sooo funny that we really have no idea who most of Galu is besides Shambo, and the previously departed black-Russell, the dumb high-heels chick and Erik.. maybe a few others — looking forward to getting to know them.. It was so weird seeing Brett go up for bat and we both looked at each other and said who is that?? LOL
Shambo also disappointed me with her at-bat last night.. she was a marine for Gawd’s sake!! I even told my wife, she was gonna nail it and wifey laughed at me when she was horrible!! So far, she’s been horrible at just about everything.
It looks like it’s Russell’s turn next week, however we all know how that can turn around real quick amd how CBS loves to tease!! Look forward to it!!

I thought last night’s episode was great, as I really had no idea who was going to be sent packing. Also, not that I had ever really disliked Eric, but after his repeated attacks on the Foa Foas and his cocky, arrogant attitude, I loved seeing him get the boot. The faces all around were great.
Another thought, in past seasons (Fans v. Favs for sure) hidden idols that left in someone’s pocket were re-hidden. Perhaps Russell can find that one to replace the one he played last night. Not sure if I agree with the move to play though, everyone knew Sugar had her idol in Gabon but she never really had to use it. Better safe than sorry, I guess. We’ll see, hope he hangs around as he is by far the most entertaining.

Let me toot Jaison’s horn for a minute. He WAS the one who set the Throw Erik Under The Bus plan in motion. Natalie took the plan and SOLD it to the 90210 gals and it spread like wildfire. Shambo-Ego and RussHell must have been fishing and missed the plan!! The look on Shambo’s face? – PRICELESS! Bless her heart, she is one dim bulb. AND watching RussHell turn paranoid? – also PRICELESS!!
One question. Has anyone here EVER heard Kelly speak ONE WORD?
Pretty good episode this week. Hope future episodes focus less on RussHell and more on the other castaways before they are all voted off!

Jeanne-Russell knew all about the plan but let the paranoia overtake him.I have to give Eric credit. That part of his plan worked perfectly.Great job by Jaison to turn Eric’s stupidity against him. I guess Jaison is the manipulater that we were hearing about last week.

Shambo is a mess, she reminds me of the lunch lady with the mullet from a few seasons ago (China maybe?)
Is Kelley the name of the other blond on Galu.. OMG, she is amazing looking.. but has hardly spoken a word — I’m sure she’s spoken plent, just not part of the mix yet.. Usually by now, we get to know both tribes, these people really come off as strangers to me!!

Ashley, sorry I’ve been sleeping all day and didn’t see your question until now. My first symptom was a headache, followed shortly by aching muscles all over. It came on really suddenly. Within a few hours, I had a fever and bad cough as well. I still have the cough and fever, and I feel like I was run over by a truck. My doctor took a swab and it was confirmed as H1N1. I don’t think that a runny nose is a symptom. My doctor told me that the most serious symptom is respiratory and if I start wheezing or feeling chest tightness in addition to the symptoms I have already, then to go to the ER. I hope your son feels better soon.

I liked the episode. I feel the previews are misleading to get people talking . All done in the editing. Dont like Russel, but Im sure he is staying since the previews leads us to believe he is in trouble. Oh I dont like Laura, I do like Natalie and I think socially she is setting herself up well. I think Shamboat didnt know about voting off Eric so that it wouldnt get back to Eric and he would use the idol. Anyone think there will be 2 immunity necklaces again for next week?

Im with you we hardly know anything about Brett or kelly, but one spoiler site I went on claimed Brett and kelly were the final 2. Dont think much about it because another site said Betsy was in the final 3. Finally, another site said Russel, Natalie, and Mick were the final 3. Take your pick.

Mama d- The all stars this time has several winners on it. I questioned that earlier in the season and Leo corrected me that the first allstars had previous winners.
Kelly is a California girl who was spotted on the beach by one of the producers. She didn’t even have to audition like usual. She is a hair dresser who hates fake people.

nanny- My best friend/former boss’s nephew died in a fire earlier in the week. His step father fell asleep with a cigarette and the nephew never knew what happened. I have only met him once.I set my blanket on fire years ago and learned my lesson. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

Thanks, blackgirl. I’m feeling a little better today… fever down, but I still have a bad cough and I don’t ever remember being this tired. My mother wants to come up here and check up on me for a few days, but I think I convinced her it wasn’t necessary. Doc says I can’t go back to work until after I am completely symptom free for 24 hours. Thank God I have paid sick time!
Ashley, that’s great news about your son! I’m glad it’s not this flu.
I’m looking forward to AR tomorrow. I think it will be Brian and Erica that go. The preview shows them unrolling hay to find the next clue and that was such a killer during a previous race. I remember that is what ended the race for those twins …girls whose names started with K …umm, Kerry and Kimmy? …something like that … they were at it for about 8 hours! Anyway, I don’t think Erica for sure would be equal to a task like that without becoming completely unglued. I’m rooting for the father/son, the globetrotters or the brothers. Megan and Cheyne seem kind of plastic to me.

Cooper-Glad you are feeling better! I saw a commercial a little while ago for AR and they mentioned something about looking for a needle in a haystack. I hope it’s a knitting needle instead of a sewing needle or they might all be there eight hours. They said it was the most difficult roadblock yet.

Thank you so much for insisting on all of us to go and see this show. We got to see it on the ultra screen and it was GREAT. I can’t say what was the best part because EVERYTHING was top notch. My husband and I have a little tradition and we never leave the theaters during the last ltrs, we always stay until the screen is off, and in this occasion as others it paid off. We loved the dedication they had for Michael’s kids and the scene of the little girl w/the glove and of course the closure with the close up of Michel’s dancing feet.

You should take advantage of your Mom and do that as a favor to her. Moms tend to worry a little less if we are around. She would feel better and she could make it easy on you. Unless of course you are being taking care for a young friend that is totally different, but let her know and she would feel better knowing someone is with you.

L.A. Thanks for your advice. I hadn’t really thought of it like that. I just didn’t want to put my Mum out because it’s a 700 mile trip for her to come here. I just called her and let her know that I’d appreciate her coming for a few days if she really wanted to, but I’d be fine if she didn’t. She sounded really happy and said she’s book a flight right away. I’m the baby of the family, and although I’m 28, I guess I always will be. I must admit it will be nice to be taken care of for a bit. lol

Ashley, any spoiler word on Episode 9 “Tastes Like Chicken”? All I read was a plan is set in motion to make this the “most memorable tribal council in Survivor history” and one of the girls kills a rat to feed the starving castaways. Any inside scoop on these two press releases??
Just for laughs, one site said the memorable moment was the spirit of Coach returning to tribal council so he could be voted out again!

Mike- I’ve checked several sites and there are no definites this week(if there ever is). One site thinks they will to try to evict Laura again. The previews suggest Russell but if he were going I don’t think they would put it in the promo. Just my opinion. Sometimes on Monday or Tuesday the sites have more info.
I missed it two weeks in a row on AR. The second week of the season I wrote down the teams names from the intro. For five weeks the names on the bottom were eliminated until last week when the poker players left. So much for my crystal ball.
