Tonight on Survivor the Hunahpu tribe is looking pretty hungry, but are they willing to make a significant trade to Jeff in exchange for some food?
We’re kicking tonight off with Coyopa returning from Tribal Council where Dale watched his daughter Kelley head off in to the jungle with her snuffed torch. Time for him to make some bold moves, but we’ll have to wait and see if they’re smart moves or stupid ones.
Dale flashes the token he took off the well and tells Jon he’s got a real deal elimination protection right there. Seems like Jon believes him, but the rest of the tribe hasn’t heard his story yet and they may not believe.
Hunahpu has its own issues as I mentioned above and Jeff is heading their way with a bag of rice but he won’t be giving it to them free of charge. It’s time for a “stiff penalty,” explains Jeff. Yikes. Jeff says this is only the second time he can recall that a tribe has needed to have their food replenished. Jeff points out it’s only Day 14!
Jeff says the penalty must be “just” since Coyopa has been playing smart and likely losing for it. He demands everything but the machete, one pot, and one flint. They’re starting over and it’s making Jeremy very unhappy.
Exile Island Challenge:
Jeff reveals the luxury prize this week is a bbq afternoon of food. Yum. Also since pairs are shuffled around each tribe gets to simply nominate a player. Hunahpu puts in Reed while Coyopa goes with Baylor. Players must assemble a puzzle blindfolded.
Baylor and Reed keep hitting in to the obstacles around them and that can’t be fun. Baylor is collecting all the bags first before she goes to study but Reed is taking him time to study between each round of collecting puzzle pieces. They’re pretty even as both start assembling the mystery before them.
Reed is making great progress while Baylor struggles. Yep, he’s got it and the luxury for his tribe. Baylor got whooped and she’s off to Exile. Now Reed has to pick someone from Hunahpu to go with Baylor. Reed moves to pick Julie, but Natalie volunteers and off she goes.
Back at camp Jon tells Missy and Jaclyn that Dale has an Idol and they all seem to believe it. They consider a new plan to target Keith and use Dale to make that happen.
Life isn’t good at Hunahpu as they’ve given up their tarp and the rain is setting in heavy. It’s a long night of raining and that has Julie very worked up that she’s not sure she can keep doing it. Jeremy wonders if he can push her out of the tribe before he becomes a target if she’s considering leaving any way.
Immunity Challenge:
Julie sits out for Hunahpu to even out the tribes. Remaining castaways must move as a group as they scale a wall, roll a giant wood frame, and collecting bags of puzzle pieces. Once they get all the bags two players must assemble a flag with the pieces.
