Survivor 2016: Watch First 7 Minutes Of Millennials Vs Gen X

This week on Survivor 2016 we have the start of season 33 with Survivor Millennials Vs Gen X set in the beautiful Fiji and featuring 20 new castaways competing for the title of Sole Survivor.

Survivor 2016: Millennials Vs Gen X

CBS has released the first 7m45s of the season on YouTube and if nothing else the setting sure is gorgeous as we watch the fresh new faces arriving on the beach where Survivor host Jeff Probst reveals the season’s theme, a battle of the generations.

Good grief, they’ve got someone so young he was born in 1997. I feel sooo old now. Thanks, Survivor. On the other side the oldest castaway was born in 1963. That makes me feel a little better.

It doesn’t take long for the sniping to begin between the two Survivor tribes, Vanua (Millennials) and Takali (Gen X), as the older cast begins mocking the younger ones for participant trophies and drone-delivered milk. I imagine this will get old quick.

The first challenge facing the Survivor 2016 castaways will be to scatter in to the jungle and gather items to help them at camp. Instead of having a few minutes on the boat this tasks sends them around the island to see who can grab things the fastest. I like this idea. There’s also the choice between grabbing fishing gear or a couple of chickens so they can decide between long term potential or immediate gratification.

The clip ends there but we’ll get to see everything that happens next during Wednesday night’s 90-minute season premiere on CBS at 8PM ET/PT. That’ll be followed by the Big Brother 18 season finale and we’ll be covering both that night so get ready for a busy evening!

Any early predictions for which tribe you think will perform better and which one you’ll enjoy more watching this season? Fingers crossed for another fun season as I hope this tribe split twist turns out better than it initially sounds.
