Survivor 2017 starts this week on CBS with a one-hour season premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 27th at 8/7c and we’ll be here on the site with our live coverage that night. We’ll be anxiously awaiting the 18 all-new castaways split among the three tribes of Heroes, Healers, and Hustlers.
When the new season kicks off we’ll get a shorter debut episode than in recent seasons, but that’s fine by me as that extra half hour cut in to Big Brother’s finale and seemed to just drag on the Survivor premiere instead of boosting it.
There will be no time to waste as castaways will again be dropped overboard, forced to scramble for their starting food and gear, and then head to shore to start camp. The first elimination won’t be far away either as the three tribes will compete for immunity to dodge the season’s first Tribal Council.
