Joe Mena was the second elimination in this week’s double feature of Survivor. Now he’s off to Ponderosa and while he’s disappointed I don’t think he seems very surprised by the turn of events that has sent him to Jury.
It seems Joe thought Chrissy would have been the latest target, but after she won Immunity that fell to the side. Then, according to Joe, he was duped by a fake promise of a double vote. Nah, the double vote is real, Lauren just wasn’t going to waste it on playing along with Joe.
Joe is soon through his medical review where he finds out he lost twenty pounds, twice what he expected. Next he’s off to Ponderosa to catch up with friends and eat, eat, eat!
While he’s soaking in the sun and all the food he can handle, Joe gets a surprise from his sister. Since she was already there for the upcoming family visit they let her come on over to Ponderosa. I don’t recall that happening recently, but Joe sure was happy about it.
Joe’s moment of reflection is about his family, his child specifically, and getting to share this experience with his sister. I imagine that was a pretty unique opportunity.
