Wednesday night on Survivor 2018, Kellyn Bechtold became the 14th castaway voted out of the game and sent off to jury.
Following her elimination, she headed to Ponderosa where she got to see herself in a mirror for the first time in 35 days, eat a solid meal, shower and sleep in a bed — you know, all the typical Survivor Ponderosa stuff. And we’ve got her full Ponderosa video below where you can see her partake in all those Survivor rites of passage.
After she had some time to decompress from the game, she also was able to start to reflect on her time on Survivor Ghost Island, and she’s got nothing but positive things to say.
“The challenges, and the friendships and the backstabbing … everything when you watch Survivor as a fan, it’s that good only a thousand times better,” Kellyn explained of her take on being on the show.

She’s also pretty proud of who she is becoming as a person even beyond the game of Survivor.
“The fact that I got on survivor, made it to the merge, made it to 7th place,” she says, “and here I am at Ponderosa living this dream is exactly what I needed to prove that this chance I’ve taken to stop living the life that I should live and to trust my gut to live the life that I want to live is where I’m headed. I have had a blast and I’m so thankful. I feel like I’m living the life.”
“Nothing is certain,” she continued. “When you don’t know if you’re the one to go home next, just embrace it and look forward to what could happen and enjoy the beauty of becoming who you’re supposed to be.
