This week’s Survivor One World opened on some major foreshadowing. Jay tells the others that he had a dream he got shot. He shrugs it off and moves on.
Tarzan is trying to convince the other guys that the girls are still working together and will pick the men off one by one. He’s finally making some sense, but no one is having it. Oh Tarzan. The tribe gets tree mail telling them about their reward challenge. It’s a do-it-yourself challenge. I guess Jeff needed the day off. The tribe has to split into two teams and the winning team wins a boat ride from the Survivor 2012 island to a private island for a barbecue.
The red team consists of Kat, Troy, Jay, Tarzan and Alicia. The black team is Kim, Leif, Chelsea, Christina and Sabrina. The red team wins and they head off on their boat ride to good food. They enjoy fish, crab and chicken and some rum and beer.
Gameplay talks soon start and Jay is trying to make sure his “alliance” is on his side. He wants Kim and the other girls to vote Christina or Alicia off this week and they all play along, all while planning to blindside him or Troy. So the suspense of this episode leaves right then and there. We know that Troy has immunity and if Jay doesn’t win the immunity challenge, he’s gone.
There’a glimmer of hope for Jay when Chelsea starts feeling bad for lying to his face, but the other girls reel her in and make sure she’s thinking with her head and not her heart.
The women are sticking together and that’s that.
The immunity challenge is one of endurance with a little temptation thrown in. It’s simple. You have to hold your arm up the longest. If your arm drops, you’re dumped with water and out of the challenge. And along the way, Jeff will tempt them with delicious food items.
Tarzan is out within seconds as is Christina. Even before the first temptation. Sabrina eliminates herself for some milk and cookies. Kim and Kat drop out next for cupcakes. Alicia eliminates herself before even seeing what the next temptation was. It was a bowl of candy and chocolate. Troy falls off accidentally so he gets nothing. And Jay makes his worst move yet and drops out of the challenge for some chicken wings and beer. NEVER trust anyone people. EVER. Dumb dumb dumb.
That leaves Leif and Chelsea. Leif decides to give up for some hamburgers and beer and Chelsea wins immunity.
So it’s Jay or Troy going home. Kim starts thinking one of them might have the immunity idol so she has to be sure the votes get split between the two. That way, of course, if one of them has immunity and their votes are thrown out, the other will have enough to be sent home.
One of the greatest traits a person can have in a reality tv game is paranoia and Troy catches some. It finally kicks in that Kim and the girls might be playing himself and Jay. Jay is still being pretty stupid and refuses to believe it. Troy tells Jay he will play the idol. So Jay makes his second dumbest move in the game and tells Kim Troy is playing the Idol. So there you go Jay. Way to seal your own fate.
But maybe there’s still hope. Troy is trying to convince some people to vote for Kim. So maybe Kim’s plan will backfire?
Let’s just get to it before this gets any more confusing. At Tribal Council Jeff makes fun of everyone for feeling safe and then gets to the votes. Troy plays his immunity idol, so votes for him won’t count. He gets two votes and they’re discarded. Alicia gets two votes and Kim gets two votes. Jay gets four and will join Mike and Jonas in the jury.
I liked Jay, but he deserved what he got this week. He trusted too many people. What did you think of the outcome of this week’s episode?
