Survivor is heading back to familiar grounds for seasons 33 and 34 according to Inside Survivor with the advance details on the next two installments.
Survivor previously filmed in Fiji ten years ago and will now be heading back to the Mamanuca Islands, specifically centering on Mana Island, a wedding destination hotspot:
Ulrich Hoffgen, the General Manager of the Mana Island Resort, confirmed that the resort will be exclusively chartered by film crew for nearly six months between February and July.
While he didn’t disclose that the production was Survivor he did state that the first set of crew had arrived on the island for early prepartion and that the show would bring “…great publicity for Fiji and Mana.”
Location selection was allegedly driven by the rough conditions faced during Survivor 2016’s Koah Rong season with multiple medevacs for the castaways and troubles for the production crew as well.
Survivor 33 will begin filming in March and air later in 2016. Survivor 34 will be under production over the summer and can be expected to air in early 2017. It’s always great to hear there’s more Survivor coming our way!
