After hitting its year-high peak last week, Survivor South Pacific took a tumble this Wednesday and found its lowest ratings of the season when pitted against ABC’s CMA Awards show.
Survivor drew in 10.8 million viewers overall, which is very solid, but managed to lose in its key demographic 18-49. The roughly 14% drop was the show’s worst of the season, but since the CMAs are only once a year we should see Probst and company pick back up next week.
I’m a little surprised that the drama of a double elimination and inner-tribal betrayal wasn’t enough to keep its numbers higher, but then again CMA co-host Carrie Underwood does have slightly nicer hair than Coach and Ozzy.
