At the end of last week’s Survivor 2013 episode we saw Tyson Apostol’s girlfriend Rachel Foulger voted out of the Tadhana tribe. The motivation was in part a hope of drawing Tyson out of the game and in to Redemption Island. But does it work?
Loved ones’ partners on the opposing tribe are offered a chance to swap places with the newly endangered castaway and send them back to the opposing tribe as we saw with Rupert and Laura.
In the “next time on Survivor” sneak peek clip we saw Jeff offer Tyson that opportunity to switch and an exchange between the two castaways:
Jeff Probst: If you want to take Rachel’s spot, Rachel would be back in the game on your tribe.
Voice-over: Will Tyson rise to the occasion?
Tyson [to Rachel]: It’s up to you.
Rachel nods.
Tyson: Okay. [He stands and faces Tadhana.] None of you have a chance in Hell.
So the clip definitely wants us to believe that yes, Tyson makes the swap. But does he? According to our spoiler source, no, Tyson does not trade spots with Rachel. Instead Tyson stays with Galang and Rachel competes against Candice and Marissa in the Redemption Island arena.
We’ll keep an eye out for spoilers on who wins that challenge to get the Immunity Idol clue and who gets eliminated from Survivor Blood Vs Water.
Do you think Tyson made the right choice or should he have switched places with Rachel?
