Last week during the two-hour season premiere of Survivor 2018, we said goodbye to the first two castaways of the season – Gonzalez and Jacob, both from the Malolo tribe. That means we’re down to 18 castaways as we head into the second week of the season.
We’ve already seen some more targets taking shape, but with the tribe swap coming up already, this week, who knows how that could play out now.
Let’s take a closer look at who is still in the running to win Survivor Ghost Island. Keep in mind, the tribe breakdown you see below will be changing this Wednesday when they draw new buffs.
Survivor 2018 Cast: Naviti Tribe (Purple)
Angela Perkins: It’s a little too early to tell how Angela is going to do or how she’s being perceived by the others.
Chelsea Townsend: Like Angela, Chelsea laid low last week, so there’s not much to say about her yet.
Desiree Afuye: Desiree seems like she’s going to be a strong player. If she doesn’t get targeted, she could do well.
Kellyn Bechtold: She is another one who seems to be poised to play a good game, but we’ll see.
Morgan Ricke: Jacob gave Morgan the legacy idol he found on Ghost Island. That would be a good thing for her, expect he told Stephanie about it and that could end up hurting Morgan’s game.
Bradley Kleihege: Right now Bradley is in a good spot because he’s not one of the guys being looked at as a threat.
Chris Noble: As soon as Chris was chosen to lead the tribe right out the gate, the target on him became huge. If he doesn’t keep winning immunity, he will be in trouble early.
Domenick Abbate: Domenick and Chris butted heads right away, and it looked like he would be an easy one to target. He found a hidden immunity idol, however, so he has that up his sleeve.
Sebastian Noel: Sebastian isn’t the strongest on the tribe, but he seems to be tight with the guys. He could end up as collateral damage.
Wendell Holland: Wendell definitely appears to be one of the strongest guys, but also doesn’t seem to be a huge target. He could get pretty deep into the game.
Survivor 2018 Cast: Malolo Tribe (Orange)
Jenna Bowman: Who? Not to be rude, but I watched this tribe in two tribal councils and I still had to look her up on CBS.com
Laurel Johnson: Laurel seems smart. That could be bad for her because even if she’s not a physical threat, she could be seen as a mental threat.
Libby Vincek: Libby we will see go pretty far. She seems sweet and easy to work with.
Stephanie Gonzalez Voted off last week
Stephanie Johnson: Stephanie is a super fan and she helped blinded Jacob last week. She also knows about Morgan’s idol. Stephanie could either use all this to her advantage or burn out fast.
Brendan Shapiro: Like Chris, Brendan is going to be looked at as a huge threat and he will be lucky to make it to jury. That being said, I think he has great potential and would like to see him go far.
Donathan Hurley: Donathan was the unexpected hero last week. He overcame a great fear and helped his team where others failed. Donathan was being looked at as a target at first, though, so hopefully he proved himself to the others because I would love to see him go far in this game.
Jacob Derwin Voted off last week
James Lim: James was one of the biggest failures of this tribe. He owned it, though. And since they didn’t punish him right away, he should be able to overcome that flub and now look like not much of a competition threat.
Michael Yerger: Michael falls into the Chris and Brendan category. He was already a bit out of the loop last week and I have a feeling no matter how the tribes shape up this week, he won’t be very safe.
Who do you think is going to do well this season? Who do you expect to go home next time?
