Survivor 2011 South Pacific Episode 5 Tonight

Survivor 2011 South Pacific episode 5 hits tonight on CBS and it looks like this could be another fun one. I’ve been really pleased with this season so far for its entertainment level. Though most anything would probably seem entertaining after last season!

The power has shifted evenly back and forth between the tribes so far this season. I’m anxiously awaiting that double win from one of the tribes. Can Savaii be the first to do it this week? We’ll see soon enough tonight on Survivor.

Survivor 2011 South Pacific Episode 5 Preview

Survivor 2011 South Pacific is back tomorrow night with its fifth episode and it looks ready to present one nasty challenge to the castaways.

Last week we saw Stacy voted out and sent to face off against her former ally, Christine. Only one of the two will survive this week and that should make for an exciting duel.

Then when things get to the immunity challenge it’ll be messy. Messy and gross. I’m not sure if the challenge is to remove all meat from the bone or to get the most meat in weight on a scale. Either way, I’m just glad I’m not competing in this type of challenge.

Survivor’s preview video for this week is below, but the details are slim. No real indication of who might be going after one another next, but those clips are usually misleading anyway. Probably just safe to assume they’re all going after each other. That works, right?

Survivor 2011 South Pacific Week 4 Ratings

Survivor South Pacific episode 04

Survivor 2011 held its own this week in the ratings with another impressive 10.7 million viewers after reaching the same mark last week.

The 23rd installment of Survivor has climbed all season in its ratings before leveling out for the past two weeks which is an encouraging sign for the aging series. What do you think has kept the interest alive for Survivor South Pacific?

After last season’s week after week bore-fest of anyone who opposed Boston Rob getting knocked out I think things have been kept much more interesting this time around with the weekly shift of power. The Baby Hantz infused drama probably isn’t hurting things either. Let’s hope this pace keeps rolling all season.

Survivor South Pacific: Apologies and Trust Issues Dominate The Tribes

Survivor South Pacific episode 4

Once again it’s all Brandon Hantz and fighting his demons on Survivor South Pacific but instead of uniting Upolu, it drives a further wedge between his tribe mates and his core alliance of five, sometimes six.  He cries constantly which may show his young age as he says he let his pride get to him.  He apologizes to Mikayla and then turns to Edna and apologizes for lying to her and tells her there alliance of six is really a group of five.  Basically he tells her she is indespenscible to the team.  Edna seems shocked and decides to work on social game which gets her no where among her group since she is completely annoying and talks way too much.

Over at Savaii, Jim, still sketchy and paranoid from marijuana withdrawal, makes a two person deal with Cochran to vote out Elyse since she and Ozzy are getting comfortable in the hammock.  This of course makes Cochran happy but he is wary of Jim and compares him with a used car salesman.  The two make their way to Redemption Island to watch the dual between Christine and Papa Bear.  Brandon and Edna go from Upolu and Brandon once again feels the need to apologize and this time to Christine and says he has turned over a new leaf.  Christine accepts his apology but claims buying what he says is another thing. She completely dominates the challenge and send Papa Bear home and returns to RI to await her next opponent.

Survivor Results: 2011 South Pacific Episode 4 Tribal Council Voting

Survivor South Pacific Stacey Powell

Tonight on Survivor South Pacific the Upolu tribe fell just, just short of a win at the immunity challenge when Dawn pulled out the win for Savaii after Stacey couldn’t hold up the weights any longer. After a lengthy tribal council the vote was a sweep against Stacey Powell and she was sent off to Redemption Island where she’ll face Christine in a duel. Watch the voting results below.

Survivor Results: Upolu Tribe voting:

  • Rick Nelson – Stacey
  • Albert Destrade – Stacey
  • Sophie Clarke – Stacey
  • Edna Ma – Stacey
  • Brandon Hantz – Stacey
  • “Coach” Benjamin Wade – Stacey
  • Mikayla “Miki” Wingle – Stacey
  • Stacey Powell – Edna

Did Upolu make the right choice this week at tribal council?

Survivor Spoilers: South Pacific Episode 4 Challenge

Ready to see what the castaways face tonight on Survivor South Pacific? Check out the video below for this week’s immunity challenge. Each tribe sends out three members to endure the increasing weight placed upon their shoulders. Last man (or woman) standing wins immunity for the tribe.

I’m glad to see Baby Hantz is out there in the competition and taking the brunt of the weight. Though I suspect all it’d take to make his legs shake would be Mikayla walking out there and placing her hand on his shoulder.

Which tribe do you think will win tonight’s Survivor battle?

Survivor South Pacific Episode 4 Tonight

Survivor South Pacific episode 4 lands tonight on CBS and we’ll pick up right after Papa Bear ran off to Redemption Island to face Christine in the next do-or-die duel.

From the preview snapshots below it looks like PB & Christine will have to throw stones at stands a little distance away and try to get them to land there. Or maybe not. I’m no detective.

The real challenge for immunity looks to be a good one and I’ll have a spoilers video posted later for that if you’re interested in getting an advance glance at what the tribes will be doing to earn safety. Now we could get some excitement is Savaii isn’t successful again this week since we saw in the preview video that Cochran was plotting with Jim, possibly for Ozzy’s demise. Then again, in the pictures below it looks like Coach is consoling Albert so maybe the blue tribe didn’t do so well.

Survivor 2011 South Pacific Episode 4 Preview

Survivor South Pacific returns with episode 4 this week when Papa Bear heads to Redemption Island and the two tribes face off again for another chance at immunity. CBS’ preview clip is down below to get you ready.

Once Bear reaches the Redemption arena he’ll be dueling Christine who won last week’s battle with Semhar and stayed alive. I’m expecting him to be a bigger challenge than Semhar presented, so Christine’s chances aren’t as good this time.

Back at the camps, it looks like Cochran might be teaming up with Jim to send Ozzy in to the danger zone, but don’t forget that he has the immunity idol so if he develops a sense of danger I’d expect him to lock in his safety. Of course we’ll also have Baby Hantz doing his usual thing and freaking out over anything that moves. How much longer can this guy hold out before fully cracking? I don’t think I’ll miss him a bit.

Which tribe do you want to see at council this week on Survivor South Pacific?

Survivor South Pacific: Episode 3 Moment of Zen

Survivor 2011 Papa Bear

This 10-second clip may have been my favorite moment from last week’s episode of Survivor South Pacific. Papa Bear knew he was in danger so he did what every NYPD detective is taught as the best way to keep your intentions secret: run!

I’m really hoping he beats out Christine this week at Redemption Island so we can get more out of him.

Survivor 2011 South Pacific Hits Highest Ratings

Survivor 2011 South Pacific episode 3

Survivor was back in full force this week with its best ratings of the season. Sure, we’re only on the third episode and it was a small climb, but that’s great news for the series and its chances at continued seasons.

After last week’s dip to 10.5 million from the Survivor South Pacific‘s 10.6 million premiere we saw a jump to 10.7 million viewers this week.

Maybe viewers were anxious to see the first Redemption Island duel or could the inevitable Hantz implosion be driving interest in the South Pacific? I’m just glad we’re not yet hitting a Boston Robbery of the season just yet with one former castaway walking all over the rest of the tribes.

What’s making this season exciting for you and who are you hoping goes next?
