Survivor Recap: Cagayan Episode 08 ‘Bag Of Tricks’

Tonight on Survivor the castaways are back for more drama and this time it looks like Kass won’t be at the center of the battle. Instead we’ve got Tony ready to fight Woo for a chance at the final three, but will it work?

We’re lead to believe Tony is paranoid that he won’t be the first to strike so he’s taking his eyes off the other tribe and turning them on his own. Yikes. I’m getting a feeling this will either backfire or collapse on its self and not happen.

The show kicks off with the remaining castaways heading back to camp. Tony has just narrowly survived Tribal Council where Morgan was ultimately sent home. Kass was not willing to flip over to help her old tribe and continues to play the middle.

Back at camp things are getting tense for Tony and he can’t stop fidgeting about his worries. Tony pulls LJ aside and gets in his ear that it’s time for Woo to go. LJ seems open to the idea and we’ve now met tonight’s thread.

Reward Challenge – SuperTramp:

The remaining nine castaways are split in to three teams of three. They’ll have to use a rope to release sandbags, throw them through a net tunnel, and then bounce the bags in to five nets. First team to finish gets a trip to the dayspa.

Teams are Jefra, Trish, & LJ; Kass, Tasha, & Woo; Spencer, Tony, & Jeremiah.

Jeremiah has a solid lead for his team (Teal). LJ takes a long time for Orange, but Woo takes even longer for Purple.

The slower teams are now moving much faster than Jeremiah did for tossing the bags down the tunnel, but Teal does still have a few steps on the others.

Tony is doing the bouncing for Teal and he’s doing great. The other teams start bouncing but Tony’s lead is too great and he secures the win. The ladies look on as the guys head off for showers and massages. I really thought we’d see at least one of them give up a spot to someone else, but nope.

As the winning team heads off we hear Tony reveals his new plan: target LJ for a blindside. Yikes. Okay, Tony.

Back at camp LJ warns Trish and Jefra that Tony is loosing it, but they want to stick together with their six. Someone should have told Tony about that. He’s off at the reward working over Spencer and Jeremiah to be his pawn-votes.

Tasha tries to talk to LJ about making a move against Tony, but he chickens out and won’t even go talk with her because he’s afraid of Tony seeing him and getting upset.

Immunity Challenge:

It’s a Q&A memory challenge. They’re playing Simon with Jeff. One slip up and you’re out. Oh I’d be done in round one.

Round 1: Trish is out first in the second color, but Woo is just one color behind her.

Round 2: Everyone is doing great with correct color over and over. Now we’re getting a little mix-up. Jeremiah, Jefra, Kass, & Spencer all get it wrong and are out. Just Tony, LJ, and Tasha are left.

Wow. Three left and three colors are dropped. Tony is wrong and is out and so is LJ… Tasha wins Immunity! I guess LJ should have taken Tasha up on that walk & talk.

Someone is about to go home tonight on Survivor, but it won’t be Tasha.

Back at camp the alliance of six plans to split their votes by sex across Jeremiah and Spencer. Meanwhile Tony goes to Woo with his fabricated scenario about LJ so Woo is in for going after LJ first. Tony recruits Spencer and Jeremiah and they’re on board.

Tony talks to Trish about this big plan, but she’s opposed and tries to walk him back from the edge. Was she successful? Time to find out.

Tribal Council:

Tony tries to act confident while Spencer points out someone in their alliance of six is on the bottom. Who will it be?

Jeff tallies and reveals the votes: LJ, LJ, LJ, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Jeremiah, Spencer, LJ, & LJ.

LJ was voted out tonight on Survivor.

Did the Solarrion tribe make the right choice with voting out LJ? Will Tony regret that decision?
