We’ve got an extra long premiere show just to squeeze down the Big Brother 18 finale to a shorter window then it should get before we find out who was voted off Survivor this week. First though, let’s get these new castaways on the beach and in to their first Survivor challenge.

Once everyone is settled in we’ll get to see the tribe dynamics and how camp life goes as there’s always some of work together great and those who don’t want anything to do with anyone.

Few bits out of the scramble. Jessica found an envelope left behind by another castaway so she hid that away. On the choices side of thing the Gen X castaways took fishing gear over chickens while Millennials opted for the chickens, or as Jeff said, the short term gain option.

More details on that envelope Jessica found. It contains the “key” to a “Legacy Advantage” which will give her an advantage in the game if she’s still around on Day 36. No more info than that yet.

Before we can get too deep in to the Survivor premiere we’ll have an evacuation event over severe weather. Time for everyone to head down to the beach and in to the boats. Everyone is taken to a safe harbor

Immunity Challenge:
Immunity is up for grabs. Losing tribe has a date night with Jeff where one of them will be voted out. This challenge gives the tribes an option to play it as it lays or go for a short cut. This idea reminds me of when the B Vs B Vs B tribes got to pick challenges based on their stereotyped abilities and how that flopped. Hopefully the tribes here make better choices.

Jeff explains the challenge has a few shortcuts to take, but for each shortcut the tribe takes it’ll add 10 more pieces to their final puzzle. The choice is theirs to make. In the end, Gen-X took 2 shortcuts and have 70 pieces to solve while Millennials took only 1 shortcut and will have 60 pieces.

Millennials win the challenge after Gen-X squanders the lead they received from the shortcuts. Hmm, was this supposed to be a setup for Mill’s to take all the shortcuts while Gen-X took the harder path? Didn’t work out that way tonight.

Gen-X is about to lose someone from their tribe as they head off to meet Jeff Probst for the first Tribal Council of Season 33.

Tribal Council:
Someone is about to be voted off. Back at camp the targets looked to be set on Rachel and David with one of them set to go.

Votes: David, Rachel, Sunday, CiCi, Rachel, CiCi, Rachel, CiCi, Rachel, Rachel.

First person voted off Survivor 2016: Rachel Ako.
