Gen-X had lost out last week so they were looking to balance the numbers against the Millennials and dodge another elimination at Tribal Council. This one won’t be easy, but they never are, as the castaways fight for reward with a good ol’ tug o’ war and then keep those arms warmed up for the Immunity challenge.

While most of the Millennials were off hunting a goat, seriously, we see Adam find a clue to the hidden Immunity Idol. It’s just a map that tells him the general area to search. He tucks it away to search later.

It’s our first reward comp of the season and I’m curious of Millennials will get their second chance at the fishing gear they passed up in favor of a few chickens. Of course that’s leading to food shortages back at the kids’ camp so it’s time for them to find a fix one way or the other.

Reward Challenge:
Castaways from each tribe head out in pairs to retrieve a ring and bring it back to their team to score a point. Watch out Millennials, Gen-X might have size on their side this time.

Reward for the challenge is a platter of meat ready to cook. Michelle sits out for the Millennials.

  • Round 1: Gen-X gets the point
  • Round 2: Millenials get the point
  • Round 3: Gen-X gets the point
  • Round 4: Millennials get the point
  • Round 5: Gen-X gets the point & wins Reward

Hidden Immunity Idol:
Adam takes his clue and goes hunting. Sure enough he finds it and after a bit of struggling the Idol is his. Of course he gets busted by Hannah who asks him how his search is going. Oops. Maybe she didn’t see him with it.

Immunity Challenge:
It’s a strength and mental comp here with 3 castaways on each tribe being lifted up by pulleys to retrieve puzzle pieces to form a Survivor phrase. Naturally you’d want to be lifting Chris up in the air, right??

Gen-X takes a slight lead going in to the second round of card pulling and that lead grows a bit in the second round as it’s David’s turn. At least they went from heaviest to the lightest as they get more tired with the lifting. All this lead is great, but puzzles are often the great equalizer on Survivor.

Yes, after 45 minutes of struggling to figure out the puzzle on both tribes there’s a sudden breakthrough for Zeke from the back row and the puzzle team quickly puts it together for the win.

Millennials win Immunity.

Tribal Council:
Someone is about to get voted off tonight on Survivor. Back at the Gen-X camp we’re seeing a struggle as Lucy wants to send out Jessica but Ken tries to warn her only for Jessica to run that info back to Lucy. Oops. David doesn’t know what to do.

Jeff reveals the vote… Wait, hold that thought.

David decides to play his Immunity Idol on Jessica’s behalf. Well that’s kinda crazy to me, but okay.

Jeff reveals the votes: Jessica, Jessica, Jessica, Jessica, Jessica, CeCe, Lucy, Lucy.

Lucy Huang was voted off Survivor this week.
