Survivor Nicaragua: Jimmy T. Interview

Hey there Survivor fans, I caught up with the latest casualty of Espada Jimmy Tarantino.  Check out what he had to say about his time in Nicaragua.

AR:   What was going through your mind when you got so emotional at tribal council?

JT:   The harsh reality that I failed to do what I so desperately wanted to do and that’s make America proud for voting for me.

AR:   What should you have done differently?

JT:  There’s no question in my mind, the next time I play this game I will play with my head and not with my heart.

AR:   You have said each week you wanted to lead, why didn’t you just tell everyone, ‘hey at the next challenge I’m going to lead’?

JT:   Because that was even a more sure fire way to get me out of there. I thought about that. Why didn’t I say, Are you people all fools? You’re all blindly following Marty to the slaughterhouse like sheep. It’s amazing how paranoid people are and will do what they’re told in order to save themselves.

AR:   What were your conversations with Jimmy Johnson like?

JT:    There weren’t any personal conversations. One time I can tell you clearly was there was a cool pool that we would relax in and we’re headed for the pool, Jane and I. Coming up behind us, here comes Jimmy. He was 20 yards up the beach from us and continued to walk right by and I stuck out a hand of friendship and said “Hey Jimmy we’re going to the pool, you want to go to the pool with us?” He just kept on walking. Jane and I just looked at each other and she said “I can’t believe that.” He wanted nothing to do with us. He had a few people he was willing to talk with and a few he wasn’t.

AR:  What haven’t we seen on tv that would surprise us the most?

JT:   Maybe the phoniness of Jimmy J when he gave a locker room speech before one of the challenges. It was so obviously phony to me because he told everyone to gather around and said, “we’re going to win this challenge because we’ve got Marty here who’s strong and Tyrone is strong and Jimmy T and then we have Jill and the last three girls he didn’t know their names. He struggled to come up with their names and I know he wasn’t just forgetful. He just didn’t take the time. He didn’t know Jane’s name until maybe after he got voted off. So he’s giving this speech and saying and we’ve got this young lady here and this young lady here and this young lady. Three people he didn’t know their names. I could have told you their children’s names and their occupations. It goes to show who actually cared about the well being of the tribe and who was just there to put on a good show.

There’s obviously no love lost between JJ and JT lol.  What did you think of JT’s answers?
