Survivor 2011 Redemption Island Episode 7 Results Recap

The tribes are starting to slim, but there’s no merge just yet. Instead we’ll get another round of Redemption Duel, Immunity Challenge, and a Tribal Council with elimination as part of tonight’s Survivor 2011 Redemption Island Episode 7.

Stephanie, who was voted out last week, meets up with Matt at the Redemption Island Arena and the challenge is a mental one this time around. There’s no messing around with this guy. Matt takes an early lead with a blind, successful matching with the Memory style game. It gets close, but in the end Matt wins for the fifth straight week in the Arena.

When it came to the Immunity Challenge there was no stopping Ometepe as they continued to dominate Zapatera. The teams had to race through a series of obstacles and mud pits looking like some sort of bootcamp from hell. Zapatera caught up, took the lead and just when it looked like Zapatera would take it all… yep, you guessed it. Ometepe secured the win yet again.

At Tribal Council, Zapatera looked beaten and bruised. David accurately points out that his tribe is too disjointed to succeed. Can this next elimination bring them back together? Regardless, the votes are set and Sarita is eliminated by four votes to two votes against David.

Can Zapatera regain the ground they’ve lost to Ometepe? Will Matt be able to keep his winning streak alive? Will Phillip stop making an ass out of himself? We’ll have to wait for next week’s episode of Survivor to find out!

What we do know right now for next Survivor 2011: Matt has a foot injury which may impact his next duel. The winner of the next Redemption Duel will return to the game. The tribes are about to merge.
