Another big blindside last night led us to the next Survivor Ponderosa journey as Debbie Wanner was voted off Game Changers and sent away to join the Jury ahead of next month’s season finale. This is her Ponderosa.
It’s always easier to enjoy a post-elimination segment when the booted player isn’t bitter or upset. Debbie was definitely not upset. She smiled, congratulated those who bested her, and got ready to move on. But she did have a warning for whoever flipped.
Debbie promised us that she wouldn’t vote for whoever it was that flipped from her six, we know it was Sarah. She explained that person would never get her vote because it was foolish. However, Debbie also states that she won’t vote for whoever didn’t flip against her. Huhwhat? I guess that’s Debbiespeak for you.
Over at Ponderosa Debbie settles in with Ozzy and Hali complete with those awkward moments you’d expect. Debbie tosses out a comment about Ozzy needing to sleep with her and demonstrates her ab muscles. You’ll have to watch for Hali’s reaction to that one.
As the days continue Debbie admits that she didn’t do any better than last time and that tells her she’s just not cut out to win it. After this round of Survivor Debbie doesn’t plan on coming back as there are more adventures out there than she has time to experience and her chapter of Survivor has closed.
Okay, Debbie is a complete nutjob and terribly obnoxious, but she’s a character and an entertaining one if you can get past the annoyances she delivers to the screen. She added a lot to both seasons and while I don’t think she could have won I did enjoy what she added to the show. And if she’s getting you to shake your fist angrily in the air then I think she achieved casting’s goal for her role.
