Wednesday night on Survivor 2018 we saw the three tribes come together as one at the Merge. And like any merge episode, it was filled with suspense, cringe-worthy gameplay and a fantastic Tribal Council.
Earlier in the episode, the big happy Survivor family celebrated merge with the usual feast. But it didn’t take long for tensions to flare as the war between Domenick and Chris was reignited. Actually, it never went out. It was just laying dormant until the two were on the same tribe once again. But it wasn’t just Domenick who was getting fed up with Chris. Wendell, who had been the voice of reason threw his hands up when he failed to make peace with the two (because Chris refused), so Wendell agreed with Domenick that Chris had to go.
Chris continued to irritate everyone else for the rest of the episode, even trying to dictate the Tribal Council vote coming up. Let me point out that Kellyn, is straight chilling through all of this because she captured the first individual immunity idol necklace this episode. So Chris takes 10 castaways, excluding Domenick and Wendell, to get some water and tells them the plan: Split the votes between Domenick and Wendell. That way if Domenick has the idol and plays it, Wendell goes.
Everyone was kind of like, eh that’s an option, and parted ways. And Domenick and Wendell started their own campaign against Chris. In the end, everyone but Chris decided to vote Chris, but some of the women threw in some votes for Libby in case Chris had an idol. Which he did. He bravely left in the middle of the night to get an idol on Ghost Island and then he didn’t use it. Why he didn’t use it is beyond me. He heard Domenick loudly cast his vote for Chris and then when Domenick played his Legacy Advantage, he still didn’t see the need to play his idol!
And if you haven’t seen Chris’ Ponderosa interview yet, you have to watch it! It includes a full-produced rap video about his time on Survivor and at Ponderosa!
