Voted off Survivor this week, Jon Misch became the next Jury member who would return to vote for the season’s Sole Survivor at next week’s finale. Now that he’s had time to step back and think about his game, Jon is ready to discuss what happened.
Leaving Tribal Council and heading to Ponderosa Jon laments not using his Idol, but says the ladies lulled him in to a sense of security and comfort with them, especially Missy who used his faith to convince him to trust her.
Arriving at the resort Jon is greeted by cheers, hugs, and lots of food. There the other former players explain how the votes were flipped intentionally to vote out Alec and set Jon up for the fall, though it sounded like Alec suggested it was Missy’s plan, not Natalie’s.
Jon tries to talk with Jeremy and apologize for blindsiding him, but Jeremy isn’t having anything to do with it. It seems that even after all this time Jeremy is hold strong to his frustrations. Jeremy says he thinks Jon will be seen as a villain because of his lies.
In the end, Jon says it was his efforts to try and make everyone happy that caused his downfall by focusing on them instead of himself.

Jon Misch arrives at Ponderosa:
“I shoulda (woulda, coulda) played my idol”. But you didn’t Jon because you trusted everyone. It was not your job to try to make everyone happy. There’s no making everyone happy on Survivor (just like Tom Hanks said in League of Their Own, “There’s no crying in baseball”). You couldn’t figure out that Missy was faithful to you, did not lead you on nor manipulate you, and didn’t betray you at tribal ~ count the votes Jon (that should help). It didn’t help that Alec told you at Ponderosa that Missy got Natalie to change her vote (as we all know, the reverse is true) and you believed him. You’re such an ‘egghead’ Jon. Loved what Reed said, “It was all game play.” I’m happy that you got to brush your teeth ~ I don’t appreciate the game the ‘game’ Jon played nor the game the ‘real’ Jon played.
I was happy to see Jon go. It wasn’t that he trusted everyone, it’s because of his attitude. He was so sure of himself..
You’re a good guy Jon. At least you admit where you went wrong by being to trusting and being so nice. I liked the way you played Jon. Never once in any of your interviews did you say a mean, nasty thing about anyone. Unlike a lot of the others. “Natalie”. And Jeremy shut the hell up. You talked crap about so many people including Jon. You were pissed he didn’t tell you he had the idol and told Natalie you wanted him gone so he got you first. Get over yourself.
I couldn’t have said it better Lavendargirl. Jon got a horrendous edit in spite of outplaying, outwitting and outlasting Josh and Jeremy who received the genius edit, despite being outplayed by nice guy Jon. Meanwhile over at Ponderosa Jeremy continues to yammer on about being the best Survivor player ever and only lost because he was too smart to play with such dumb people. Give me a break Jeremy.
I don’t think Jon played a bad game. He made it deep into the game with his loved one. I think his move to get Jeremy out was a good one, as he knew Jeremy was gunning for him. All’s fair in Survivor so Jeremy is just being a bad sport not to recognize that. The fact that he left with an idol in his pocket is not unusual. Many before him have done so and many after will too, he was guilty of trusting his alliance. Not sure why everyone feels Jon is a liar, etc when Natalie is playing an even more ruthless game. I like Natalie’s game but wish she hadn’t harped so much on getting revenge for Jeremy being voted out. The fact that Jeremy left didn’t seem to impact her game, so I don’t get it. Would appreciate her game more if she just said that she wants to win and Jon is a strong competitor so he needs to go.You know she will go after Keith next after using him for the last couple of episodes. He is her biggest competition and it would be her best move to get rid of him. Again it’s a game so I have no problem with her doing that.
Reed seduced Jon that night. And they fucked’ thats why Reed voted for Jacqlyn on the final tribal council.
