This week’s “Survivor Live” offers up Josh Canfield, eliminated from Survivor 2014 this week, as he sits down with host Jeff Schroeder to discuss the game as he left it.
Josh tells Jeff that Reed Kelly, his boyfriend and Blood Vs Water partner, was the original fan in their pairing and drew them into the plan to audition. Both were going to be recruited for this season so it worked out well that they were already a pair, explains Josh.
As for the downfall of his game, Josh credits at least part of the issue with Jeremy. Josh suggests he was quietly working in a power position when Jeremy pointed it out to the rest of the castaways and his cover was blown. Then the Tribe Shuffle arrived and sealed his fate, says Josh.
Then there was Julie quitting the game and poking another hole in his boat. Josh says Reed worked through that night to keep Julie grounded and he thought they were okay so it was a surprise the next day when she vanished from camp. He’s pretty sure Jeremy was set to be voted-out that night had they gone to Council even though Jon and Jaclyn changed their strategy a few days later.
