Survivor One World Episode 13 Recap: Same Ole Same Ole

It was more of the same on Survivor One World this week as Kim and her puppets helped her edge closer and closer to the Survivor 2012 grand prize.

The episode picked up right after last week’s Tribal Council with Kat talk. Tarzan says they should have sent him home and that he has a “subplot” to get to the top 3. But then he decides he only needs to go to Top 4. Way to sell yourself. Tarzan says he’s been working in segments just to quietly slip into Top 3. So what’s Tarzan want out of the game? He still just wants to buy shocks for his car.

For the next 45 minutes we just get a bunch of Top 3 talk. Who is going to take whom, who is going to be sent home this week. Who is pissed off. Who is playing everyone. Here’s a hint: EVERYONE is playing EVERYONE. Have you ever seen Survivor? I hate this time of any reality show season. So much flip-flopping. So much annoyance.

Finally we get a brief break of all the Top 3 talk for a dizzying reward challenge. The contestants will be playing for an afternoon on a yacht.  Chelsea wins. She picks Sabrina and Kim. Kim? Really? She’s gotten to go on every reward challenge. It’s getting a little ridiculous. I’m surprised Kim hasn’t actually gained weight on the island after all the reward challenge food she’s consumed. They take off on their yachting and it’s as boring as usual.

Back at camp, we get the usual bashing of the people on the reward. Alicia and Christina are mad with Chelsea’s choices. Shocker. The people not chosen are always mad. But Chelsea did say she’d pick Christina but then changed her mind when she heard Christina might actually be finally playing the game. Tarzan sees it as an opportunity to try to slide into that Top 3, so he starts working Alicia and Christina. The best way Tarzan can work anyone.

Now it’s back to TOp 3 talk. Kim feels like she wants to go to the end with Chelsea and Sabrina again. For the next five minutes at least. I guess getting picked for the reward will do that do you.

Kim decides it’s time to save Chelsea so she messes with Alicia’s head a bit to convince everyone to send Tarzan home. So basically we could’ve stopped watching the episode right then and there.

At the immunity challenge Kim nor Chelsea wins. It’s actually Alicia who barely edges out Kim. Finally.

At Tribal Council, the inevitable happens and Tarzan is sent packing. It’s officially an all-female Top 5. And this Sunday those final five compete in the finale and Kim will win and this terrible season of Survivor will finally be over.
