Oh how the mighty have fallen. Russell Hantz was voted off Survivor for the first time ever when his tribe turned against him and sent him to Redemption Island during a tie-breaker round of voting. Now he’s facing sudden death overtime and will have to duel the similarly evicted Matt for a chance to continue.
Back at the camps, life isn’t too much better for Ometepe who is growing increasingly impatient with Phillip’s antics. But at least he’s returned to spear hunting crabs, so we’ll get our entertainment value out of him for sure. It’ll be interesting to see if the cloud of despair will be lifted from Zaptera now that Russell has been banished. Well, it’s probably safe to assume things won’t be good for Stephanie after her display at Council, but she’s earned any consequences there.
With Russell gone and Zapatera’s focus back on the game I won’t be surprised to see if they whoop back up on Rob’s Ometepe tribe unless the previously elusive taste of victory has renewed his team’s energy.
