First up will be Jeff’s introduction of the season and the arrival of the 18 new castaways. We also find out what if anything else has changed about this season, and what all the new players have to do to obtain food and shelter.  Now, let’s get to it!

Basic Necessities Reward Challenge

The castaways are immediately tasked with a challenge to win flint and other recessives.

Twist: three players (Drea, Lindsay and Hai) from each tribe are secretly propositioned with an advantage. They agree to do it and not tell anyone. They have to make it look like they had to work harder by applying mud and blood to them.

Ika wins reward!

Twist update: The three players from earlier get the information on their possible advantage. It’s another one of those twists like last season that is only activated if each person is successful, but this one becomes more powerful after two of the three are voted out of the game.

The Summit

Boats pull up to the island. One person from each tribe has to head off to the summit. Maryann, Jenny and Drea go off to another island. The three make the trek together, but have to separate and make decisions alone. They can protect their vote or risk their vote. Like last season, if they all protect their vote, they get to keep their votes. If they all pick risk, they all lose their votes, but then earn an extra vote. If it’s uneven, then only those who risk get the extra vote and no one loses their vote.

Drea takes the risk. Maryann takes the risk. Jenny protects her vote. So Drea and Maryann get the advantage.

Player pulled

Jeff shows up on the Taku island and tells Jackson he has to leave because of an undisclosed medical issue.

Immunity Challenge

The three tribes are heading into their first immunity challenge. Who will pull of the win that could set the tone for the whole season? Let’s find out.

First two tribes to finish win immunity.

Taku wins immunity!

Vati wins immunity!

Tribal Council

Ika heads off to Tribal Council. Who will be the first person to get their torch snuffed this season?

Zach takes the shot in the dark. Is he safe? No.

Let’s get to the votes: Zach, Zach, Zach. Zach is voted out.
