Survivor 2020 kicked off on Wednesday night with 20 returning players as they embarked on the 40th season! The Survivor Winners at War players began the fight to become the Sole Survivor of the biggest season yet.
CBS delivered a two-hour Survivor 40 season premiere, so we can were treated with multiple challenges and eliminations. Also, Edge of Extinction is back. That means that the first player voted off likely won’t be leaving the show tonight or at all this season.

First up we got Jeff’s introduction of the season and the arrival of the 20 past winners. Jeff lets them know that this season they are playing for the largest sum in realty TV history – $2 million dollars. And before they get divided into their new tribes and head right into their first immunity challenge, they get to have a toast!

Immunity/Reward Challenge 1
The two tribes are heading right into their first immunity challenge. Who will pull of the win that could set the tone for the whole season? Let’s find out. And with a pretty big blowout, Dakal wins immunity! Sele will head to Tribal Council.
Tribal Council 1
Who will be the first person to get their torch snuffed this season and have the choice of heading home or to the Edge of Extinction? Let’s get to the first vote!
The votes: Denise, Adam, Denise, Natalie, Natalie, Natalie, Natalie, Natalie is voted out!
Natalie gave her fire token to Jeremy and headed off to the Edge of Extinction.
Edge of Extinction: Natalie finds an immunity idol and she can sell it to someone on the next losing tribe for one token.
Immunity Challenge 2
Which tribe will pull of the win for the second immunity challenge of the night? Let’s find out. Sele comes back from an almost definite loss and wins immunity! Dakal will go to Tribal Council!
Tribal Council 2
Who will be the second person to get their torch snuffed this and get the choice of heading home or to the Edge of Extinction? Let’s get to this second vote.
