The wait is over. Survivor 2020 is finally here! That’s right, Survivor Winners at War premieres tonight on CBS with a two-hour episode to get the ball rolling on this huge 40th season.
If you’ve been living under a rock, then let us remind you what Survivor Winners at War is all about. In honor of the 40th season of the reality show, Jeff Probst and other producers invited back 20 past winners to compete for the ultimate Sole Survivor title. And not only will the winner be able to claim they have won the game more than once, they will also take home the largest prize in U.S. reality TV history – $2 million.
This season will introduce us to a new game twist in the form of “fire tokens.” What we know about the tokens are they are sort of a form of Survivor “currency” and promise to shake the game up a bit. And of course, the Edge of Extinction returns this season (because there’s no way they’re letting any past winner truly go out first, second or third).
So be sure to head back here tonight for our first Survivor 2020 live recap of the season. We will keep you up-to-speed on each immunity challenge, tribal council and who heads off to the Edge of Extinction.
Here’s a refresher on who you will see as a player during tonight’s season premiere.
