Tonight On Survivor 42: Prepare For A Double Episode

Survivor 42 is back tonight, not with one, but two new episodes. That’s right, we’ve got two hours of Survivor tonight.

This isn’t going to be a seamless two-hour episode, though. It will technically be two different episodes, according to CBS, each even having their own episode title names.

What we can definitely expect tonight, though, is that twisty kind-of merge that we got last season. There will be a challenge between two teams, one will win immunity and the other will have to vote someone out. Unless the person sent to exile decides to change the course of the game. Last season it came in the form of an hourglass and it was Erika who had that choice and did decide to shake up the game. That was likely the action that sent her on her course to win the season.

We aren’t sure if we will see exactly that again this season, but we do expect the twist to be the same. There will likely only be one Tribal Council, however, at the end of the second episode. That’s again, unless they change the format at all from last season.

At any rate, be sure to join us back here starting at 8 PM EST for our live recap of this two hours of Survivor 42. We will keep you updated on any Tribe swaps, merges, wins, losses and eliminations.

Here’s the official episode synopsis from CBS:

“You Can’t Hide on Survivor” / “The Devil You Do or The Devil You Don’t” – Castaways drop their buffs and rearrange tribes before an intense immunity challenge. Also, one castaway is taken to another island and has the power to change the game, on a special two-hour edition of the CBS Original series SURVIVOR, Wednesday, April 13(8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+*.
